How do Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin keep getting films made? THEY SUCK! Eddie puts out the same movie over and over, with the same characters. Steve Martin is the most egotistical man in Hollywood (next to Dustin Hoffman) and he does vanity project after vanity project that no one wants to see. Hello, Shopgirl and SGT BILKO? I'm fucking 46 yrs old and *I* don't even remember Sgt Bilko! Hollywood, please, I'm begging you– stop coddling these guys and people like Sylvester Stallone too. Just….stop.

Is this movie like Innerspace? Remember, came out late 80's, it had Martin Short and Dennis Quaid.

Why would a person skip out on their own premiere? Unless he was ill, it shows a lack of character. Then again, after his treatment of mostly gracious Mel and his own child, nothing Murphy could do would surprise me.
"Meet Dave" is not the first - or the last - awful movie for Eddie Murphy. Critics torched "Norbit". In fact, Norbit appeared on many critics' "top 10 worst movies of the year" list.
Eddie is funny and talented ,, he was so good on SNL,, but his greed (or something?) motivates him to make any bottom-of-the-barrel movie he can.

You know, I saw this movie last night at it was pretty funny. Kids will especially enjoy it, but I laughed out loud in a few spots. There is a LOT worse out there right now.
