Money! Money! Money!
According to E! News, Nicole Richie's 2005 coming-of-age novel which she "wrote" - The Truth About Diamonds - is being turned into a TV show.
Nicole says, "I would definitely produce and definitely be in the show…I don't know if I need to be the star of this show. I've got a lot going on right now."
The book is described as Richie's thinly veiled memoir. It's all about a twentysomething girl named Chloe Parker, who was adopted by a music superstar when she was 7 and as a young adult finds herself running with an elite Hollywood party crowd…she goes to rehab, has to deal with the paparazzi, blah blah blah.
Sounds like Gossip Girl Hollywood style to us!
We'll probably watch it.

She was adopted when she was 7?? That must have been really hard on her! My 7 y/o know exactly what is going on and I can't imagine what it would be like for him to just hand him over to "new" parents..rich or not! No wonder she ended up doing drugs! POOR GIRL!

does the main character have a falling out with bff London Hyatt and then spend 48 minuets in the jail system? I am glad to see she got her life together, but if its just going to be about her life story, do we really need to draw it out over the coarse of a few months for something we can watch on true hollywood story?I defintely wont be watching, unless they get a good cast ensembel.

I have read this book and it has a good story. Gives you insight into the underage Hollywood party socialte scene. Although names are changed, when reading it you can clearly understand who is Paris Hilton, The Davis boys, etc. The show should be interesting!!

Her book is really good! I've read it. I would definitely watch this show. If they didn't put shitty people in it.
i read the book 2 years ago and it a pretty good book so it being turned into tv show it be cool but some books that are turned into tv or movie adaptations usually sucks so we see if the show any good when a trailer come soon and it need a very good cast to leave up to the charcters of this book.

Great idea. Should consider Nicole, baby and boyfriend opening the show each episode with small intro of what the episode is about and what it means to her, then spin into Nicole's past through the each episode. Maybe a good title is Nicole's Neighborhood. Love her………

Chloe Parker is the name of a celebutard that's filthy rich, goes to jail, looks like a skeleton, drinks like a fish ect,. ect., ect., in Grand Theft Auto 4. Just watch T.V. in the game or hear the radio show "Fizz" and you'll hear a reference to her on more than one occasion. Knowing Rockstar Games likes to promote people, places and things in the series, don't you think its a little too coincidental?
I actually read this book and liked it. But I wouldn't watch the show. I spend all of my t.v. time reading Perezhilton.com because I'm a total starfucker.
i actually don't see nicole richie as a bad person. at least she made an effort to turn her life around. she's a good model & she's improving herself. i may watch the show.

the book was pretty good a quick read,easy and entertaining…..so yes the show could be great…..a sex in the city like only younger, with the LA vibe instead of the NY vibe
Hate to admit….but i would probably watch it!
I read the book when it first came out… it's not bad. I found it kind of funny that I could sort of tell which character was which celebrity and stuff. I mean, the main character basically gets a reality show with a socialite "bitch" that tries to get as much attention as possible. It's not hard to tell.

YES!!! I will watch because I loved the book! It was like an autobiograpy and Ted Casablanca's "Blind Items" mixed together. She may not have used her real name but it was brave of her to discuss personal issues such as drugs, relationships, and self image. She's different from other celebs who follow fashion trends, she has a retro hippie-sheek style thats cute and fun. I am happy for her for having a baby and glad she appears do be doing better.
I will watch because Nicole is funny and not afaid to spill the secrets of her celeb frenemies. I hope they cast look-alikes to the celebs she makes fun of. Like Paris & Kelly Osborne. It would be funny.
