Josh Brolin was arrested in Shreveport, Louisiana, early Saturday.
The actor, in town playing the President in Oliver Stones biopic on George W. Bush, was involved in a bar fight.
While Brolin himself was not the one throwing punches, police claim that he tried to impede their efforts when they came to break up the disturbance.

I had the displeasure of living in Shreveport for 10 years from age six to sixteen, and it's a fucking hellhole of piece of shit rednecks trying to masquerade as something better than they are. No doubt the cops who arrested him can barely spell their own names let alone recognize a crime when they see one. The whole town should be burned to the ground.
You gotta understand the mentality of the cops in Shreveport. Autographed photos will start appearing on eBay any moment.
get your facts straight, they were interested during a bar fight - which there was no bar fight - and no one was arrested for fighting, with cops or otherwise. they were arrested for 'interfering with police officers ' a misdomeanor, and others were arrested for public intoxication. jeffery wright is african american, ask him what really happened with the shreveport police, i'm sure it'll be a good story.

I am originally from Shreveport. The town is filled with serious crimes and gang riots and the cops never break up a bar fight unless it is serious! They would totally turn their heads for a celeb so back off!! Filming only started there after Katrina to bring revenue to the state. Give Louisiana a break already!

I think it's funny that people from Shreveport are lecturing me on "what Shreveport is" as if I didn't say very clearly that I FUCKING LIVED THERE FOR TEN FUCKING YEARS. And I did go back, once, for what was one of the saddest attempts at nostalgia in my whole life. About ten years later I returned for a visit only to find that the only part of the town that I liked - the charming things like open fields interspersed in the neighborhoods, lots of small businesses, things that made this - yes admittedly large metropolitan - area feel more down home - had been flattened and replaced with Applebee's and Target stores.
And to Lilli - golly, it must be hard to try and be witty with your cousin's cock in your mouth.

. …Being from Shreveport, Louisiana myself, and owning a small business that the "movie people" take advantage of, I am constantly amazed that some of "these" people simply forget that "when in Rome….do as the Romans do" I am currently writing a book about the escapades of the "movie types" that have descended upon our sleepy little town. Starting with Ashton and the filming of the "Guardian" and ending…..well they say we have at least 5 years more business comming……I'm sure it will appears in bookstores some day or….hmmm….perhaps on the big screen? ( I want someone fabulous to play ME) Anyway, as long they keep comming and giving us all this entertainment…..and revenue……I have absolutely no problems with our new guests. Remeber ,…as we always say here…."lezzez le bon temps roulez"!

This GW movie is probably the most expensive film production to ever hit this area, and I bet that it will end up being one of the worst movies ever made because it is still a cheap ass movie that they are rushing to make before the end of GW. The police are very corrupt and like to abuse their power. James probably didn't even do anything wrong. A cop can arrest you just because he doesn't like the way you look at him. Don't ever come to Shreveport, It wont be worth it.

This breaks my heart. I love reading Perez and know he can be mean but it all was so funny to me until I heard people talking so brutally about my hometown. We are good people. Many celebs have been here without a problem until this and really love it. To generalize Shreveport as close minded and racist are exactly the sort of generalizations that drive racism and homophobia in the first place. I hope everyone will calm down and get over this! Louisiana needs money. Our state is loving this revue after the government screw up post Katrina.
