Despite playing in over 3,000 theaters, Eddie Murphey's shiteously-reviewed new film, Meet Dave, opened to a disastrous $5.5 million this past weekend.

Thankfully, he's got a lot of money in the bank. Cuz, unless they're making another Shrek film, the tranny lover will never see another big paycheck again!

Hellboy 2 held the top spot in the U.S. this weekend, making $35.8 million.

Journey To The Center Of The Earth came in third with $20.6 mill.

And, Wall*E, which we saw on Friday and LOVED, made $18.8 million - good enough for a 4th place finish this weekend.

      I have to disagree with you on Wall E, Perez. I took my kids to it and it bored them to death. I couldn't stand it either. I can't imagine too many people sitting through the movie. As far as Eddie goes, oh well, he can afford to have a sucky movie. He just wants to quit doing movies anyway so that attitude probably showed up in his acting.

      Finally a word about WALL-E from Perez!!!. It is the best Disney picture in yeeears, and an absolutely stunning piece of the human creativity.
      It has been a success in reviews and people response, and I have to disagree with Elaine, I took my nephew and he absolutely enjoyed it and he understood perfectly everything despite he is just 3 yrs old and he had a great time.

      I still do love Eddie, and when he was up for the Golden Globe for Dream Girls, I had my fingers crossed and he WON!! He is not funny like he once was, but he has tried to stretch himself in different directions and that takes much more bravery than most have.
      Certainly Madonna has never made a memorable movie since Desperately Seeking Susan. And she probably thought she had a movie career in the BAG!! Not that easy.

      Some of you have the right idea though…if Eddie went back to stand up, we would be lucky. NOBODY does better stand up than Eddie. What other comic could fill ARENAS the way that Eddie could? None.

      So what if Eddie is just an okay actor, who is inconsistent picking good movies. His stand up is BRILLIANT so I forgive him other imperfections. I realize that he can't be equally as brilliant in all aspects of his life.
