I stopped by the mall on Friday and the line was wrapped around and to the exits. The guys in the line looked like Star Trek fans at a convention. It was probably the first time in years some of those guys had been in a mall. There were maybe five women in line. Really geeky.

Bought it, love it, buying 3 more; one for each daughter and granddaughter. I own all Apple products and have no regrets. Apple is the best at what they do. That's why they continue to be the leader in the industry. Are they gimmicky? Absolutely? Are they elitist? Totally. Is it crazy to always want their latest new toy? Definitely. My bf went to buy me a phone at lunch and they told him they were sold out nationwide. So we placed an order and now I have to wait two weeks. I'm surprised people waited six hours and got one?! You must be in NY or something. Stores around here didn't receive that many.

I didn't get one. I still have my original iPhone from last October. I did upgrade successfully to the 2.0 software and downloaded about 20 new applications. It's excellent even on the old version of the iPhone. I think I will keep my old iphone with the cheaper AT&T service for a while before I upgrade.

I lined up at 5, got in the store by 7:30 and thanks to AT&Ts complete lack of adecuate preparation, left at 8:30 with my phone. Love it but not sure it was worth the standing around. The Apple folks were great but I think AT & T blew it. SO not happy with them.

I did buy the white iphone. $30 data plan, $35 my5 with some other stuff

The phone is great sometimes is annoying because of the touch only but it gets good reception, great to get internet anywhere, and even better to have the ipod attached to listen to music at work without carrying more things in my purse.
