Another Reason To Love Your Xbox

Lazy asses around the world rejoice!

On Monday, Microsoft announced that it is partnering up with Netflix so Xbox 360 owners can play movies on demand through their consoles.

Under the agreement, the streaming-movie service will be playable on televisions connected to the console without any additional software or hardware.

About 10,000 movie titles will be available through the service.

Hopefully they're 'good' movie titles.

Pretty cool!

      If they are the movies that you can already watch instantly through netflix, prepare to be dissapointed. Some of them are really great, but mostly they are just the movies that no one wants to watch. But they do have a lot of TV shows on there which helps you catch up!

      X-BOX sucks horribly, I mean, COME ON!!!! A failure rate of, like, %32?????? That is awful. I recently had to decided between the pS3 and the 260, and i went with Sony. I am soooo glad I did…PEOPLE! BOYCOTT MICROSOFT AND ALL OF THEIR SHITEOUS PRODUCTS!!!

      When I first got the "view it now" service, I thought it was the greatest thing ever…. and then I realized about all of 3 movies on it were good. And you can only watch The Addams Family Values so many times…

      I have a friend who has burned through two xboxes in the last three years, not good for such a expensive electronic,it's a POS and I don't recommend anyone purchase it.$400 for a disposable game? PSP is turning out to be a better quality game console for half the price

      netflix's all-you-can-watch instant downloads is automatic with an $8.99/mo subscription. meaning, if you already subscribe on that level for the regular delivery, you automatically get the downloads, too.

      you don't need an Xbox — you can watch on your computer. or you can do like i do and connect your laptop to your HDTV to watch the movies.

      sure, they don't have the latest releases for instant download, but they do have some good selections.

      WHEN CAN WE STREAM MOVIES ON OUR MAC's???!!!!
      I find it so frustrating that I have a Mac with a huge ass screen, and I can't watch my Netflix on there.
      I still love Netflix though.

      The greedy movie companies keep the new movies from being streamed. In time they will have more good movies, though. You basically get the unlimited streaming movies for free anyway. There was no price increase when they added it to netflix.

      XBOX rules. Wii is fine for wii fit and a few other cartoony games. Sony may as well give up. XBOX has online gaming and video mastered- and it isn't easy to do. No one gives better service than msft- you are stupid not to know that. What other products in the WORLD give you free upgrades and troubleshooting? Not your washer repair or tv repair = nothing is really as cheap as msft stuff. Don't gripe if you have to upgrade your damn hardware once in a while. If you had brains, you'd know how hard it is to make software work at all- let alone work on older machines and all makes of printers and scanners, etc. I hope MSFT is in business FOREVER.

      Yes, Xbox had it's problems (and still does - I repair them constantly) but this is actually a good move on Microsoft's part. The PS3 is nice BUT it doesn't have the online community or the online services like the 360. My wife and I have netflix and have used their online movie streaming service but sometimes it's a pain in the ass to watch a movie on a laptop. So the next best thing is to have it play on the big screen in the living room. Kudos to M$. Now, all we need for them to do is make the 360 have a better cooling solution so people will stop paying me to fix theirs…wait what the hell am I saying?! Keep makin' 'em an' breakin' 'em M$!

      Yeah so that's cool and all but Sony released a movie rental and buying system YESTERDAY. They demo-ed the playstation store option then in a surprise announcement told us they would be releasing the program that same night. Sony is killing microsoft this year.
