Poor Lauren Conrad. She's becoming yesterday's news sooooo quickly.
In a big blow to The Hills star, L.C.'s clothing line has just been dropped from all the Los Angeles Kitson boutiques.
Kitson owner Fraser Ross says, "Sales were lackluster. Initially it was great."
Though they tried to get L.C. to do some press and in store appearances, it seems Ms. Diva's people couldn't figure out a date.
It must be tough having MTV filming you at all times!
Ross adds, "They need to realize it’s no different than selling your album, your TV shows, your movies. You have to keep promoting it."
Well, aside from promoting, no one wants to spend over $100 on something they can get that looks the same at Target or American Apparel for $15.
Oh, and if this sounds all too familiar, Kitson also confirmed it's dropped Victoria Beckham's dVb menswear line because of poor demand.
Yea, and she didn't promote it either.

Yeah, it's over-priced, definitely. In a way that if you would want to buy several clothes from her collection, you'd have to be very rich so that it wouldn't hurt your wallet so much. Lauren should without a doubt lower the prices.
But bad quality and shitty materials? What are you talking about? I ordered a beautiful Samantha Dress online, and it's lycra and modal. The dress feels SOFT ans LUXURIOUS and fits perfectly, it caresses your curves. The Lauren Conrad dress I have is FIVE STAR QUALITY! Wouldn't be a shame to go clubbing in Hollywood with it. And I also love the fact, that the colors in her clothes are really PURE and ELEGANT. I don't see that kind of a purity in color tones ans softer-than-soft materials in basic cheap chain stores.

I am always so surprised when celebrity lines fail because promotion is not only a no brainer, but the cross promotional opportunities should be obvious to everyone involved in everything they do. Why are the people working around them not making the promotion happen, you know, as a bottom line to every deal they get involved in? We don't expect the celebrity to be brilliant at everything (I know some people do though don't they?) so it just goes to show that that old adage is true about surrounding yourself with the best people. Kitson is all about getting their name out there they do not care whose line they sell as long as their name is shown. Weak ass move in my opinion, LCC was the top seller there. I saw her line in Saavy at Nordstrom. Now that is a big deal. A lot of her pieces seem to be selling out. I shop a lot online & all the big online fashion boutiques carry her line. It seems to me like it is doing well. I do think some things are overpriced but some are competitive w/ similar brands such as Rachel Pally, Velvet & Splendid.
