It has arrived!
The new Batman film premiered last night in NYC.
The family of Heath Ledger came out for the occasion but they skipped out on the red carpet, appropriately so.
On the way out, though, Heath's dad, Kim, was asked what he thought of the film, to which he responded with a big thumb's up!
A tribute to Ledger is seen in the end credits of the film.

its really good to see a dedication. i was in barnes and noble yesterday and stuff author published a book about how it was heaths ledgers fault he dies. i really wanted to screem. I CANT WAIT FOR THE DARK KNIGHT!

I will not see this movie. In one of the trailers, the Joker says "Well hello beautiful" and is speaking to Maggie G….quite possible THE most ugly woman I have ever laid my eyes on. Crooked face, too thin and a lisp…sounds like a dream!

Saw Dark Knight last night at an Australian preview and it is truly great and worth seeing. Heath Ledger (RIP) is amazing and mesmerising and eminently talented. Wow. He makes a good movie into a totally fantastic one. Hope for Matilda's and family's sake that he is awarded the posthumous Oscar. Well done Heath, you are brilliant.

I agree with number 27. I thought from the very begining that this one was going to blow all the others awaY! I cannot wait to see it. I think Ledger's character is going ot kick some butt too. Out of all the other movies and villians, I think his will be the best. But I'm partial to the makeup that he wore in the movie though. Anyway….it's going to rock!

Naomi Watts and her man, Liev Scrieber were there, too! I think Heath really loved her the most, and she is still close to his family. I think Heath only went with Michelle Williams bcz Naomi dumped him! She's older and wanted a kid, but Heath was not responsible to be a father. He was too wild for Naomi. So he went with Michelle who looks like Naomi 's sister,with brown eyes, and he got her pregnant just to show he could be a father. Then Michelle dumped him bcz he cheated and he was always doing stuff with other people and was not realiable. He would go out with friends and not come home for two days! He even had Helena Christiansen hanging around his movie premieres when Michelle was there even after they had the kid. I think Heath was hot, but he was too wild. He was too sexy and women couldn't help themselves. He was a real heartbreaker. But I am still his fan. I love him to pieces. I will probably see The Dark Knight at least a dozen times!

I was lucky enough to actually score some tix for the NYC Premiere and the movie is totally awsome!!! I got to see all the actors and they even sat in the same theatre as us… The fact that Heath is not here to actually see, hear, and receive all the wonderful compliments, critiques, and reviews is really sad. You can tell he went to a different place and worked really hard on this role and deserves all the awards he can get. God Bless Him and his fams…
Look… I just dont see get why all you guys are treating this guy like some kind of saint. He overdosed. He did this to himself. Yeah its tragic. So young and whatnot but stop making it seem like he's some kind of martyr. Brad Renfro died like a week earlier and no one is causing a stink over that one.. 5 years from now people will remember him the same way they remember River Phoenix.

OHH WHAT a tribute at the end of the credits… Man I saw it today and I left before the end of the credits, GOD DAMN IT, well an excuse to see it again… It is that good,
I am sure the movie is good and Heath too, but only 1 woman in the entire cast? Hollywood is a "Boys club", even if gays run behind the scenes.
Damn this pic looks so empty without Heth on it :/ It sucks that the best perfomer out of this film couldn't be there at the premiere. But I know Heath was looking over. But wait a second!! I've seen this film twice & I haven't seen a tribute to Heath at the end :S
