Pick one or two worthy causes and stick with it.. You are are becoming worthless with philanthropic pushes

Thank you for this. My younger brother has stuttered his whole life and it is nice to see you put this ion your page and get it out there that this is common and we need to find better treatments. Thank you for this and the other charities you have mentioned lately on your page.

I have stuttered for years. It's not that bad now, but I know the frustration of just not being able to say a word. The harder you try the more it just gets blocked.
Crazy thing is, these days my stutter is at its worst when I'm talking to myself! weird huh.

That is so awesome you are featuring ISTAR!! I actually volunteered there for a year when I was attending the U of A. They are a fabulous organization who do amazing things for those suffering with speech and language disorders. Thanks Perez for featuring this! More people need to be aware of what is going on! You ROCK!

Why are most of these comments so negative toward stuttering and the fact that Perez has this on his site? If any of you fuckwads could take a minute and put your egos aside to realize that this IS a serious issue (like all of the "worthwhile causes" Perez posts) perhaps your blinders would come off long enough to better educate yourself with real world and humanitarian issues.

Yes, I love to read celeb gossip as much as the next person; however, I also enjoy LEARNING about issues that are a little more relevant than Angelina and her fucking twins! Grow some hearts, haters, and get your fucking heads out of the Hollyweird sands!

This is great! Thank you for sharing the different worthwhile causes. Even if only one person were to dontate, it can make a difference. Obviously you are raising awareness, which can go further than funds! You should look into The National Alopecia Foundation next!

As, someone who has stuttered for most of my life, hearing that there are organizations out that can help is really good to hear. I'm tired of people making fun of me and others because we happen to stutter.Being 15, I know how hard it is to go to highschool and be the only one there stuttering at this age, and having people your stupidm or something, its time we learned and educated people on these issues. Thanks, perez for adding this to your site! and thanks to alice for standing up for everyone!

you are so sick, porkez. these organizations should be ashamed to have their names associated with a toilet feeder like you.

Most of the idiots making fun of stuttering show their genes are not too separated. Family tree branches are supposed to spread OUTward, inbreds. Yeah, I stuttered as a child and still occasionally have "moments." Few understand the frustration, or are just too stupid, as many here, to comprehend. So…if all you've got is mocking others…then you've really got nothing. Please remove yourselves from the gene pool. The smell might improve.

Problem is.. with all the issues that strain our society today.. Stuttering is NOT one of them. Don't get me wrong. .One of my very best friends stutters. It sucks.. yeah.. But I would say the same thing if Perez put something up regarding OCD. I have OCD and that would still be a stupid worthwhile cause.

Animals are being slaughtered, children and families are homeless, AIDS is still claiming lives and our soldiers need support.

While it might be a worth cause.. It is just a drop in the bucket of the real issues plaguing us.

Sure there are so many causes to donate to but not all of them "touch our soul." It's good to have choices. And if each one of us can participate in one random act of kindness a day then how much better would the world be? Yeah, I'm an idealist, sue me…

Thanks for posting this! My brother used to suffer from a horrible stutter, and would get made fun of all the time. Then he went to speech therapy for about a year, and it helped a lot!

Thank you Perez for sharing this link. I used to stutter (and still do under situations of high stress; very embarrassing in meetings at work…) and never realized there were organizations out there for this affliction. Many people don't understand how traumatizing and stressful this is for someone with a speech disorder. Thank you for the awareness for this and the other organizations you post on your site. Keep up the great work!
