Get a life. Yeah, she needs to be brought down for what? Pursuing her dream, following her dream and maintain a work ethic like no other. I don't particularly care for her as a singer but at least she's got determination and chutzpah, something you lack in copious amounts. wow… i used to LOVE Madonna when i was younger.. but for the past few years she's totally fell off. Now i know why.. her brother was a crucially important role in her life and she needs to reconcile with him! i have respect for her brother and im glad hes telling all of this b/c her Ego (rightfully so, sorta) is inflated BUT i wish she'd return to her true self… the EDGY, HIP, COOL BITCH that i grew up listening and totally admiring… her old stuff i could listen to allllll fucking day… now the last few Cds fell flat…

Read the first 150 pages of the book last night. Some funny and interesting stories. Not all that negative (yet), (she throws tantrums and swears a lot, yeah, we know), but i'm sure she's the one who wants to put out her own stories (or her versions). Reading about New York City in the 80s is a trip. It all takes place on the streets I walk everyday. Lots of the book is about just Christopher. He seems to gloss over large sections of time that they weren't in close contact.
I got the book and read it and IT'S GOOD! Fans will love the pic and behind the scene stories and Chris is the only one to tell it cause he was there!

Why shouldn’t he tell his story, She is a public figure. I'm 3\4 of the way through the book, it’s a good story, and he really doesn't even trash her. She comes off just as you would expect her to be. Nothing shocking.
I am totally on Christopher's side. She used him just like she used the people to be famous. One of her many lapdogs, Britney Spears, is running back for more.

I saw him last night on Hannity and Colmes and he didn't say anything awful about Madonna. Said the worst thing for her about his book, she couldn't CONTROL it. He said she loves her husband and kids and is committed to her family.

There are millions of people who do exactly what she's done (stepping on people to get to where she is), some in more horrifying and unbelieavable ways to achieve what they want yet you focus on her. There are thousands of Iraq war vets who are coming home to find out that the govt will not cover their medical bills, provide them with proper rehabilitation for their injuries, or even provide them with enough pension so they can survive - a lot are losing their homes, and many even their sanity… all so our dear president and his administration could have their pissing contest and wage an unnecessary war on a nation that had absolutely NOTHING to do with 9/11 — and you focus your anger on Madonna?!? get a grip!
Poor bitter twisted Christopher. He fails to mention that Madonna cut him off because he wouldn't go to rehab. He chose drugs over family. He is desperate for money. He released this book to support his terrible drug habit and for petty revenge at his sister. All of the money from this book will go up his nose in coke and up his ass in rentboys.

Nothing that Christopher can do can equal all of the incredibly ruthless and mean spirited things Madonna has done to people throughout her life. I am half way through the book, and will finish it today. I gotta say, so far, there has been very little negative info on Madonna –although I think, at least at this point in the bio, he is making his case for the amount of work he has put into the M Empire, and the mutual love & respect between the two siblings, which will make what happens, all the more dramatic….Its fascinating to get a glimpse of Madonna's world through the eyes of Christopher, and his perceptions of The World According to Madonna are compelling. I was surprised that he left out her "I'm gonna rule the world" moment on Dick Clark's American Bandstand in '83, and his thoughts on that insightful prediction. So far, its a lot less caddy than i thought it was going to be, and much more cathartic. There have certainly been provocative commentary on celebs (strange story on Lauren Hutton, what a cukoo bird Sean Penn truly is, etc. etc.) Gonna go finish it now.
It's not that I don't agree that what Madonna's brother is doing is fucked up. He's her brother and she was his financial lifeline. And it's not that I don't find you entertaining, but come on Perez….seriously. How many celebrities have you balled out on your blog? You gleefully divulged all of the details of Beyonce and Jay-Z's wedding, knowing that they were doing everything possible to hide it from the media (as dumb as it was for them to think that they could do that in NYC). You gleefully revealed your makeout session with John Mayer…a fact I think we all know he wouldn't have wanted made public, and the list goes on. A huge portion of your fame has come from revealing celebrities' private business, and you have rarely apologized for it. You aren't exactly in a position to judge from your self-created "lofty moral mount".

I have the book and I'm up to Chapter 4 and honestly he doesn't bash her at all. What I'm getting here is Madonna is controlling. That's about it. Yes he did do drugs but can you blame him. His problem was that his sister was no longer in his life and she had cut him off easily like she does everyone else. He's clean now and everyone knows it. Anyone who is a die hard Madonna fan knows all her truths and how she made it big. If falling off a horse didn't stop or calm Madonna down ( with broken bones and all) than this book won't either. Her brother's stories are done with an open-mind. At no point does he ridicule her. If Madonna is afraid to look Human then that's her beef.

I've seen several of his interviews now talking about his book. It's interesting that he says he didn't get along so well with either of Madonna's husbands (Sean or Guy). I get the sense that he took any intrusion from either of her husbands as a threat to his own relationship with her. Living and working so completely in the shadow of his sister, he never had a life of his own, and still doesn't even really know himself yet (and he admits that writing this book and talking about it is helping him to better understand himself). After so many years of having this unhealthy relationship, and finally breaking free of it, I can understand why he felt the need to write down his experience and perspective of it all. It appears that he chose to release this book for three reasons: to find himself, to seek revenge, and to gain a profit. I understand it, but I don't believe that the end result here is going to provide the "healing" he is seeking. My guess is that he will eventually regret that he ever wrote this book, if he isn't regretting it already.
He doesn't reveal anything we already didn't know about the old hag, I think it sucks that the rotten ingrate is so stingy with her money towards her family! I hope he made some serious coin for this book!
