Read the first 150 pages of the book last night. Some funny and interesting stories. Not all that negative (yet), (she throws tantrums and swears a lot, yeah, we know), but i'm sure she's the one who wants to put out her own stories (or her versions). Reading about New York City in the 80s is a trip. It all takes place on the streets I walk everyday. Lots of the book is about just Christopher. He seems to gloss over large sections of time that they weren't in close contact.

I am half way through the book, and will finish it today. I gotta say, so far, there has been very little negative info on Madonna –although I think, at least at this point in the bio, he is making his case for the amount of work he has put into the M Empire, and the mutual love & respect between the two siblings, which will make what happens, all the more dramatic….Its fascinating to get a glimpse of Madonna's world through the eyes of Christopher, and his perceptions of The World According to Madonna are compelling. I was surprised that he left out her "I'm gonna rule the world" moment on Dick Clark's American Bandstand in '83, and his thoughts on that insightful prediction. So far, its a lot less caddy than i thought it was going to be, and much more cathartic. There have certainly been provocative commentary on celebs (strange story on Lauren Hutton, what a cukoo bird Sean Penn truly is, etc. etc.) Gonna go finish it now.

I have the book and I'm up to Chapter 4 and honestly he doesn't bash her at all. What I'm getting here is Madonna is controlling. That's about it. Yes he did do drugs but can you blame him. His problem was that his sister was no longer in his life and she had cut him off easily like she does everyone else. He's clean now and everyone knows it. Anyone who is a die hard Madonna fan knows all her truths and how she made it big. If falling off a horse didn't stop or calm Madonna down ( with broken bones and all) than this book won't either. Her brother's stories are done with an open-mind. At no point does he ridicule her. If Madonna is afraid to look Human then that's her beef.

I've seen several of his interviews now talking about his book. It's interesting that he says he didn't get along so well with either of Madonna's husbands (Sean or Guy). I get the sense that he took any intrusion from either of her husbands as a threat to his own relationship with her. Living and working so completely in the shadow of his sister, he never had a life of his own, and still doesn't even really know himself yet (and he admits that writing this book and talking about it is helping him to better understand himself). After so many years of having this unhealthy relationship, and finally breaking free of it, I can understand why he felt the need to write down his experience and perspective of it all. It appears that he chose to release this book for three reasons: to find himself, to seek revenge, and to gain a profit. I understand it, but I don't believe that the end result here is going to provide the "healing" he is seeking. My guess is that he will eventually regret that he ever wrote this book, if he isn't regretting it already.

I've been a fan of Madonna's for a LONG time, but I actually believe that Christopher had a right to write this book without her "control". He clearly stated he wanted to write HIS experience. If she were involved, then she would've edited everything that she didn't approve. She will write her own autobiography. I am glad he did this on his own. It will be a new perspective about a lot of things I remember seeing growing up being a fan of Madonna's.

I've read about half of the book and all he's doing is telling his story and what it's been like being the most famous woman in the world's brother. He isn't bashing anyone; he's being pretty fair and he's telling stories where perhaps he didn't understand why she did what she did to him or to other people, and he's also telling stories where his own behaviour should be questioned. And he's not afraid to question it openly. It's a very fair book thus far. It's not what I expected and it's far from being a hatchet job.

I just finished the ENTIRE book last night. I loved it. Its not scandalous, just shows madonna as a human. She's flawed and insecure. I'm sure learning she's human is something she doesn't want people to know. But too bad. You don't get to be Madonna being a NICE PERSON, and the worst thing Christopher dishes about is all the people who grew tired of her antics.

I thought the interview he gave about the wedding events was a tad hostile, but then who would put there brother in what appeared to be the tiniest sleeping quarters in Scotland and make them pay their own way, when they must have known he couldn't afford the same level of luxury as they could in buckets? I don't know them personally, so who knows what was really going on. As for Madonna, I gave up on her when she stopped actually singing songs and got into the whole dance-techno-music scene and you could no longer sing along to something lyrical. Considering how close she supposedly is with Stella McCartney you would think she would have more fashion sense and what is with that poor woman's arms??? Every time Guy has his hand on them I expect blood to seep out from the cracks of his fingers…

You know what? There have been others that have issues or demans as great as Madonna's but did they take to the stage to act the whore for our children, NO!

The women that I'm speaking of are Joni Mithcell, Carly Simon, Mama Cass, Chrissy Hines, etc. They are/were power houses in their genre and musical era AND they didn't feel the need to visually corrupt our children on stage, so Madonna can take her hideous behavior and shove it straight up her ass(NOT ON STAGE) and the asses of those that so tirelessly promote her and her illness and that includes her gay nation. This guy is completely pathetic. She supported him and his lifestyle for ages and then when she doesn't want to just pay for everything he writes a book against her. He shows up to places without any money and no credit card and says "bill Madonna and Guy," and then wonders whats wrong and it's somehow her fault. She supposed to hire him as a decorator, a personal assistant, set director, etc and she is basically just giving him a job because he can't get one on his own. This guy is just an ungrateful bastard who expects everyone to pay his way just because they have money and he doesn't or because he is "Madonna's brother." I wonder how many times he has used that line to get him something. LOSER.

Methinks that Madonna is in on this because it's widely known in the publishing industry that the "victims" of a tell all book can recieve or do receive advance copies.

She may be crazy like a fox about promoting herself but what will she do when someone, somewhere inadvertently or purposefully shows her children the crap she spewed out to OUR children. Her sex book is online for free for all to see, after all. And I've already seen some pervs make lewd and lacivious comments about Lourdes since she is in the limelight now because of her mother. How's that feel mother Madonna? Not so good, huh! Well shoe, meet the other foot.
