I finished reading the book and I will have to disagree with you on this one Perez. She is very self involved ( that we already know) ,has not been fair or respectful toward her brother on many occasions, other family members, and to people that worked with her in the past. That karma will build up and eventually bite you in the ass. This should be a wake up call for her.

I agree…She redeemed herself in with the album…I hated her after Truth or Dare…and actually listened again with Ray of Light…NOW-she is a joke. Seeing her in her boxing outfit…or her skank leotards…it is just stupid at this point. More money - yipeee for her…

If you really disect Madonna you will find a very fragile person with boat loads of narcism and without the abilility to see the value of anyone else except herself. Christopher himself said there is part of him that thinks Madonna is trying to be Angelina with her Malawi efforts.
I realized a long time ago that Madonna is insincere and will only do what will further her agenda. All that gets you not too much happiness. My question is why doesn't she spend more time with her family?

Having read his book, Christopher Ciccone is EXTREMELY confused. He seems to have his identity entirely confused with that of his sister. Christopher is not a star. He is not part of Madonna's career. He is the brother of a star. BIG difference. Say what you may, but Maddona has worked her ass off to create her career (and I am not a fan of hers). She did not simply declare herself a pop star, as Christopher is now trying to do as a "painter, designer, and writer." Those are merely hobbies unless someone paying you to perform those activities. Christopher does not understand the difference.

He also seems confused that his relationship with Madonna is only fraternal. He is not that of the man of her life. In fact, Christopher seems extremely confused about much of life in general. Hopefully, he discovers far more clarity - and soon.

From reading this book, I will say that I now understand that Madonna's entire identity, ambition, and career have been a lifelong effort on her part to deny her mother's death. That is what drives her so hard - and makes her such a complicated, volatile and narcissistic piece of work. That is also what her infamous control is all about - maintaining that effort.

      BOYCOT this book!!!

      "It's not about Madonna, it's about me"… Yeah right…
Is it therefor Madonna is pictured on the cover.. is it therefor at the tittle has Madonna's name in it?

He just has to do things for himself, be responsible for his own things and can't live of Madonna's money and work…

It's true that Madonna wants to control everything, but hey…. she's a artist… and artist's want to have control over their work!!!!!!!!

It just feels like kiss and tell….. BLERGH!!!! Yuk.. always saw Christopher as an good guy, but that has completeley changed!!!!

I just finished reading his book, I though it was a very honest & unflinching look at his sister who obvioulsy hurted him and many other people very deeply. She's a classic narciscist who only cares for herself with no concern as to how her actions hurt others.

I bought this book. It is really fascinating. In a way, he does trash her by telling some very revealing stories about her character. If they were lies, he would get the pants sued off of him, because he is so specific about what happened. It is a hard book to put down.

Re: Anony – If you really read the book like you say you did, Christopher actually was paid to do interior design, not only for his sister, and still is doing design work. He sold paintings in gallery exhibitions, and is making money right now having written this book. Christoher wrote the book about his life and times with Madonna and their sister-brother relationship, not because he beleives he is a star.

      Re: Anony
You're right on the money about this. I've come to the same conclusion: that Madonna's meanness and bottomless pit of an ego are the result of repressing the pain and grief from her childhood. And about Christopher, anyone who doubts the support and creative impact he had on her career need only watch "The Girlie Show" followed by her next tour - the one where she wears a shredded kilt and tries to be Jimmy Page with the guitar. Night and Day.

THE. BOOK. IS. SO. GOOD. !!!!!!!!!

Almost finished and eating up every page….it's not scandalous, but it's definitely juicy. And, there are even quite a few tender, sweet moments that got me a little choked up…

He seems like an intelligent, sweet guy.

Does every see the MASSIVE irony in Perez continually dissing Christopher for making a living off of talking about people more famous than him?

Perez, you're a ridiculous hypocrite. You wouldn't be anything without banking off of others' fame and tearing down the rich and famous (isn't that, like, your f*cking tag line?).

For your further knowledge, many posts related to Madonna on PH.com are penned also by Ingrid Casares and Liz Rosenberg.

Just devoured the book on a flight. It's a fascinating behind the scenes look at Vadge's life from Christopher's vantage point.

It's certainly not a hatchet job on Vadge. C C has plenty of his own faults which he is aware of. Believe it or not- I had very little esteem for Vadge- but feel more sympathetic towards her after reading the book. Yes, she is controlling, manipulative, at times rude, callous with money and shits on her family from time to time (especially her sister Paula for some reason) but she has good qualities as well.

All in all- a great read. The Ingrid shit is a little wierd.

What Christopher has done is completely justified. I've been a Madonna fan since the beginning but I still think what he has done and is saying is very valid. And you Perez! Obviously you've never been close to someone who shuts you out over a partner who is homomphobic, which is exactly what Madonna has done. I'm beginning to think that she has become or always was a cold hearted monster. And now we're supposed to relish her 'Miles Away' song? Or should it be re-titled…'Love Song To A Homophobe!'?

Ingrid is funny. She's offers Christopher coke at a party- then the next day tells Vadge he's a drug addict.

She seems very two faced. Like she was deliberately trying to get him in trouble with Vadge. Maybe she thought if she could get Christopher out of Vadge's life, her role could increase. Perhaps she had designs on his tour jobs?

Also funny how she dumped Sandra Bernhardt for Vadge. No wonder Sandra hates Madonna.

Re: Ter – Reading the book, I keep vacillating as to whether or not Vadge was secretly in on it. It would be like her to do something like this for PR- her media manipulation skills are legendary.

Ultimately I concluded that she was probably not it on it. What do y'all think?

Re: Dr. K – OK. That's the juiciest post on here. Really true? These posts are written by Madonna's cheerleading squad of Paltrow, Ingrid/Leather Lady and Rosen-whatever?

What a sad bunch of desperate, bored chics.

Go, Christopher. He gives a mean interview and is becoming quite a media darling…

Finished the book. Synopsis: Madonna is an uptight, controlling, selfish Mega-Bitch.

Considering her wealth, her stinginess is pretty appalling, really. Christopher is actually quite gentle and nice on her. But, her true self shines through — her actions speak louder than Christopher's words.

If I were her brother, I would have bitch slapped her years ago.
