Looks like the people at Mattel are receiving some major backlash!
The toy makers have created a new Barbie doll which many are describing as the S&M Barbie.
The doll comes with black fishnet stockings, a black leotard, gloves, and boots.
S&M Barbie is being modeled after DC comic superhero Black Canary.
The Black Canary Barbie doll is scheduled to be released in September, but we'll see if that goes as planned.
Some are just outraged like the religious group Christian Voice, which said, “Barbie has always been on the tarty side and this is taking it too far. A children’s doll in sexually suggestive clothing is irresponsible – it’s filth.”
Poor Babs.
We bet if she was dressed as Wonder Woman no one would complain. And we all know Wonder Woman's outfit was a bit on the sexy side too!

Firstly; because barbie is blond and has a huge rack does not make her tarty. There are way too many unplugged parents in this country who let their children be influenced daily by all the wrong things just because the parents are too self-centered to make time to teach them otherwise. Music and television has become the parent in far too many homes. This Barbie is just an extension of that problem. Parents (of which I am one) have to draw some boundaries and stop letting kids get all of their values from pop culture.

It is a line of DC dolls. They also have Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman. She is one of many dolls. This is what Black Canary wears in the comics. Batman and Superman wear some tight ass undies on their dolls and no one said a word. I don't look at this as hookerish at all. Black Canary has had the fishnets since she was created in the 60's. For any DC fan this is a must have.
