Good god, he belongs on Broadway, not on the pop charts - Zack had it right when he suggested Mark should look the way of Max Bialystock as a role model - Mark couldn't go wrong with emulating Nathan Lane… but a heart throb hunk who sings songs that make the girls melt he will never be!!!
THEO TAMS should win it hands down this year!! He has such talent - so much more than any other IDOL competitions ever before - Canadian or American or whatever country you want to put in the mix.

We've had some SIMPLY TERRIBLE people make it to the top 10 in the USA just because they are Mormons, and every Mormon in America votes for them. Remember Jasmine from Hawaii? I think she was top three the year Fantasia won AI3, and OMG, it was pathetic! Every Asian Pacific Islander in the US was voting for her, and it resulted in REALLY talented people like Jennifer Hudson being kicked out.
Supporting someone because they are from your hometown, because they are pretty, or because you feel sorrry for them results in having frakin' awful singers.

I go to University with Mark and he has such a strong personality. Everyone here is judging this particular performance on him as a whole. If you actually watch all of the performances he has done you will appreciate that he can in fact, actually sing. Maybe not dance but he sure can sing. In my opinion, this isn't his best performance either but theres no need to be saying he's TERRIBLE because he certainly is not. Either way, Mark is humble enough if he doesn't win, he'll be damn proud of what he has accomplished thus far.

It really makes me sad that these are the types of people that are representing Newfoundland. If someone saw this guy on Much Music or heard them on the radio they'd wonder why in the world they got a recording contract. He's not a good singer, pretty much every Newfoundlander who was on the show was not a good singer and they only made it as far as they did because of the support from their home province. From one Newfoundlander to the rest of us…stop making us look so dumb please?

I didn't think Canadian Idol is that bad this year. In other years the contestants have been horrible! I kind of like how they mixed it up with 8 guys and 2 girls in the top ten this year.
