What are you donating FATASS????
My mom has Parkinson's. It's too late for a cure for her, but I've learned what an awful, degrading disease it is. Stem cell research shows promising signs for a cure. Since you really don't want to face it, in your old age or any other time, this is a good cause.
1961….and still no cure, or effiective treatments…great track record…and the drug companies just keep on racking in the dough…as with all major illnesses.
there really has been nothing new on the radar of any significance since penicillin 80 years ago! you think there might be some insentive to keep going in the "wrong" directions??$$
Someday we will look back on this century, and the way we treat the major diseases…poisoning the entire body to kill a few cells, and call THIS TIME the "Dark Ages"…
Witness the only public good this site has ever produced.
Perez, this is a great cause, but I don't know how you can justify being such a 'philanthropist' when you viciously attack young girls. Calling young women 'sluts' and 'whores' is debasing and sick - which makes you part of the problem. It doesn't need to be part of the 'persona' you cultivate.
6TH BITCHEZ OH YEAH…CANADA FUCKIN KICKS ASS!!!
Thank you, Perez. My brother was diagnosed with Parkinson's at the age of 40. It's been three years and he is on a lot of medication; la dopa, sleeping pills, etc. He is still very capable of doing everything, but is living with constant pain and the knowledge that his body is slowly giving way to a debilitating disease. Please donate.
My Grandma has parkinson's disease and she's going on 88…i'm actually very happy that it hasn't hit her as hard as other ppl younger than she is…but ive also seen close friends lose grandparents with this disease and how bad it can actually get…its heartbreaking to see.
Perez doesn't "attack" young girls, he gives his opinion…everyday i see a different organization or charity up on the site, i could only imagine how much he's helped…and you're criticizing him yet you still come to the site, so i would think you're adding to the "problem" by giving his site more hits…if you dont like it stay off of it simple as that…keep doing what you're doing Perez you're AWESOME!!!
Let's see….47 years and still no cure. Same could be said for cancer (pick any kind here folks), diabetes, AIDS and the list goes on. Makes one wonder if becuase there is soooooo much money to be made on treatements, there will ever be a cure for ANYTHING. Sorry just sayin'……..not ripping on APDA in particular. Just frustrated beyond words with the current state of medical research. Oh ya, in case I need to remind anyone, Bush is against stem cell research. Did we need another reason to be dissatisfied with the a$$hole?
Re: dee – OMG, I didn't read your comment until after I submitted my own. So well put, I just couldn't agree more. Thank you for your insight.
My father was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease almost 14 years ago and I have seen firsthand what an unfair, undignified, terrible disease this is. I am hopeful that science will find a cure- or, at the very least, stronger treatment for the symptoms of this disease. Every day my father struggles to do the routine things that we (myself included) mostly take for granted. This is an extremely worthy cause. Perez, THANK YOU for selecting this case to be your Worthwhile Cause of the Day.
This is an amazing cause to donate to. My father was diagnosed with Parkinson's when he was about 60, and the disease has evidently taken its toll upon my father. I will be donating to this cause, and I hope that others will as well.
i totally agree with marsh and dee!
