It may seem unfair and oppressive to us but it's their country and their laws…. tourists are obligated to respect local law whenever traveling regardless of their own beliefs. Would you wear a tube top into the Vatican? A bikini to the Smithsonian? Visit the Middle East sometime… it's an amazing part of the world with really welcoming people. Please don't judge culture.

In Dubai they hold you until you see the judge and then they let you go. The offense they punish hardest is drunk driving. These guys will get sent back home and that's about it.

I live in Dubai and I heard about this recently.. It's wrong to judge people based on who they like to fuck.. (so to speak) but technically it is a country run by islamic law, residents and tourists alike should abide by the law whether or not they agree with it..
This isn't the only thing you should be worrying about though.. there's plenty more gossip going on in dubai

I was on a date with a guy once and we were relaxing in my car just talking and the CID (Cops in Disguise) of Dubai came and harassed us for a half hour. Its SOOO stupid not being able to be who you are in that f-in country! Why should we be punished for that? Its unbelievably stupid! Why is this shocking? What did these people expect? Different cultures have different beliefs and if you are visiting their country you should at least try to abide by their rules out of respect. I have met gay Muslim men before and they do not flaunt themselves like this when they are in their county because they are aware of what may happen, they are very secretive for good reason.

Criss Angel Responds To Recording Of Altercation! Says Producer Provoked Him!

There are two sides to every story! Here's his!

In light of the audio recording released yesterday that featured Criss Angel threatening to knock out one of his producers, the illusionist's attorney, Ken Woloson, has released the following statement:

"Criss Angel was in the process of firing Joe Safuto on Wednesday when Safuto became abusive and Criss asked him to leave. Criss decided to fire Safuto in response to repeated complaints from co-workers and other magicians about Safuto's abusive and violent behavior and general ineptitude. Witnesses have attested that there was no physical contact and that Safuto very clearly was the antagonist. The audio released to the media is a snippet of a much longer conversation. We are exploring legal action against Mr. Safuto, including for his defamatory and illegal conduct."
