Perez…love your website, but what is really wrong with Jessica wanting to be AMERICAN? Let me give you an example…I went to Ireland with a buddy of mine and we started talking to a group of people there. Eventually someone asked where we were from? and my buddy said he was Italian. The girl said that he didn't sound like he had an Italian accent…which he doesn't because he is AMERICAN. The girl even went on to ask why most Americans are always claiming to be from somewhere else? It's so true. What's wrong with American pride? Why is that so wrong? Everyone is always talking about being Mexican, African-american…etc. If you are actually born and/or raised somewhere else…then fine. But if were born and raised in America….You're AMERICAN. If you pay attention to the news, you'll know that being American, in most of the world, is NOT something to be proud of and you can actually get your ass kidnapped and tortured for being a proud American.

Personally, I'm more "American" than many in this country. I was born here and even served in the military. However, in this day and age, I have to say that I am ashamed of the politics, ashamed of our president and looking forward to the end of Bush's term.

Hopefully, once that arrogant ape is out of office and there are some positive changes made, America will go back to being proud of their country. Until then, we'll just waddle in the emonomic and political mess Bush and Dick have created and continue denying my nationality when I travel abroad.

opps..got cut off. Anyway, he has a Hispanic wife that was born and raised in America. Spanish is not her first language, she did not learn it from her parents but in school. Her vocabulary and attitude is very American. My husband really is Spanish and his family and friends differ in many ways to the Hispanic people that I know which were born and raised here. So when she makes comments like "I am a Spanish girl" it really gets under my skin. She has never even been there and know she wants to move there because she is "Spanish"..gimme a fvckin break, dumbass is more like it. It is like me saying I am from the United Kindom or France because I can speak the languages and had some distant relatives that came from there. I am American and proud of it.
