She Can Sing, But Can She Sing AND Act???

Fergie Ferg has just been cast in Rob Marshall's feature film adaptation of the musical Nine for The Weinstein Company.

Other female leads in the musical already include Kate Hudson (eek!), Penelope Cruz, Sophia Loren and Nicole Kidman.

The musical is set around the women in the life of the main character Guido Contini.

Guido's role will be played by Daniel Day-Lewis.

The original Nine opened on Broadway back in 1982.

The last time Fergie "acted" was in the remake of Poseidon.

That ship sank. Let's hope this one doesn't too!

    And Kate Hudson is a good singer, she went to singing lessons when she was young. And to whoever said it, I seen About Adam, where she's an Irish person and she was a lovely singer, I agree!

    Fergie can't sing - she recently appeared in concert in Sarnia Ontario @ Bayfest and came on stage totally wasted! She could barely sing (she just talked and wiggled her ass).

    Look Perez.. I check this site every day and I do like you, but you are so wrong on so many things. Fergie HAS acted since Poseidon. Seen Grindhouse or Planet Terror? She wasn't bad.
    Secondly.. How is Kate Hudson so bad? Yes, she may do a ton of rom-com's now, but she is an Oscar nomineee for Christ sakes. She has talent, she just chooses to go for the money most of the time.
    With such an all-star cast, DDL & Marion winning Oscars last year, do you really think they would hire a bunch of bad actors? I doubt it. Give Fergie & Kate a chance.

    well lets see here, she's been old school with her way of landing jobs, record deals, spots in bands, for a long time. Good old casting couch theory for old Stacey would be safe to assume in this situation too. How else do you explain the fame this train wreck has been able to garner in her life?
