I can readily see Bale in the John Conner role. Bryce Dallas Howard (Ronnie Howard's daughter) is supposed to be in the role of his wife……that one is hard to see.

It looks great - I think Christian Bale is the 'intelligent action hero' - and he still has the integrity of his smaller projects, unlike your old action heroes (Cruise, The Govenator, Stallon) - the movie will be huge - massive. People are wowing about Heath's performance in The Dark Knight because the spotlight has been shone on him, due to his untimely death. This doesn't detract from the over-all amazing acting by all the actors in the film.

I love the Terminator franchise and I want to love this movie but…the trailer sucks. There isn't any cool robots and it's really choppy editing. I am afraid that McG the director is turning the franchise from cool science fiction with a great back story to a dumb action movie. I LOVE the Terminator series on Fox ( The Sarah Connor Chronicles) and sadly seems that series is much better than this new movie.

I just got chills! I love Christian Bale and I've always enjoyed the Terminator movies. He'll make a great John Connor.
It looks like Bale is opting for the blockbuster action route in his next few flicks (Public Enemies, Terminator, Killing Pablo), but what I wouldn't give to see him in a quality romantic drama! Something along the lines of The English Patient or Titanic, maybe. He'd need an excellent script, and a leading lady who can match his intensity to make it work, though. Please, movie gods, make it so!
There's a rumor he may play opposite Sienna Miller, in Nottingham, a retelling of the Robin Hood story, and I can't imagine a more sick-making possibility. Please, movie gods, don't let it happen!

I'd pay good money to watch Christian Bale read the phone book. And he'd probably do it with enough conviction to make it fascinating!
He has such a commanding, self-assured presence, but also raw, animal magnetism. Even without those fine, fine looks, he'd still be sexy as the devil!
t2 was awesome for a sequel, cant say otherwise (that and Aliens). and you have to look at bale (yes cream the jeans) but he only does films that are something to examine and take note. he is one of the great actors of our age, and he will not do a shitty film.
i am only hoping that people do not make him into another commodity like so many others, stay indie baby.

The first Terminator movie that I saw was the second one. I still have not watched the first one in it's entirety although I hear it was good.
I liked that they were bringing a girl to the third one but that's when it got cheesy for me. I'm not sure how I feel about this fourth one, although it does have Christian Bale in it and he did Batman justice..
