The pair announced their engagement at the same time Hayek announced her pregnancy.
Now, her publicist says, "We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been canceled. There will be no further comment."
Hey, she got what she wanted out of it - a baby.

I always thought there was something really strange and NOT real about this "relationship." They were hardly ever together. I don't believe they dated at all before the announcement of the pregnancy. As soon as they announced their engagement when she was preggers I knew they would never get married. I'm tired of these celebrities saying they're "engaged" when it seems like they're just saying it b/c it's supposedly "the right thing to do".
