Jessica Simpson performed at her first proper country show this past weekend and things did not go as she would have liked.
When the wannabe country singer took to the stage at the Country Thunder Festival in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, on Saturday night, she was greeted with a warm welcome of boos, reports the local paper.
And, her reviews were less than stellar!
"Many audience members found her attempt to crossover into country irritating and that her vocals lacked a southern sound," says one critic.
Poor Jess.

You know, this is why I don't like her-
She dated nick lachey for like at least five years and never had sex with him cause ahe wanted to stay a virgin. Not many guys would've stuck around, you know? So then they get married and he treats her like gold, and the second she gets some fame, she leaves him. That is why I'm thrilled that everyone hates her now. She deserves it. I just love it. But I do have to add, even though it hurts to admit it- she IS NOT FAT. Perez on the other hand, although he may be doing sort of well with this diet, is a big pile of loose skin and cellulite.

i feel kinda bad for her. i dont like her but still, shes never going back to whatever fame she had.
her vocals have never been great, but watching her try soo hard was endearing, opening her mouth soo wide that we could see what she ate for lunch was always amusing as well.
Vocally she sounds what i might expect Helen Keller to sound like (no offense Helen) the big chest & ditsy attitude makes her tolerable for a minute, and her minute is up:) Her best luck would be to get knocked up like her sister.
She isn't fat, she looks cute. Perez, on the other hand, is a fat slob. He must be jealous that most people can eat a doughnut or two and stop there…he probably eats a dozen at a time!
Compared to how she used to look, she has gained some weight here and there, but she also hasn't had much of a career so she obviously isn't going to be as motivated to maintain her figure. Anyhow I still think she looks good.

I'm a big country music fan and we really don't want her - her song come on over is okay, but she's really not that talented - and that's one thing you need in country music, talent and dues - unless you're from american idol.
