The most notable: the new Batman film is now the biggest debut ever in U.S. box office history, especially impressive for an opening on a non-holiday weekend.
The Dark Knight took in $155.34 million Fri-Sun.
That bests Spider-Man 3's 151.1 million in 2007.

the movie was awesome. it deserves the praise. i went into it not wanting to buy into the hype about the joker because i feel like most of it is only coming from people who need to say something good about heath because he's dead. but he really was great. i liked his joker much more than jack nicholson's campy version.

i saw it on the midnight opening, i LOVED it! strong plot that supports the unbelievable sfx, excellent performances (especially by heath ledger, of course, who delivers the most disturbing villain ever), and overall, incredible entertainment.

Deep, dark, delicious film. True, Heath was frightening, what a hideous role, so well AMAZING. Christian Bale was no slouch either. Found film depressing, and hopeless.
