A-Rod's The Victim???
With all the controversy still surrounding Alex Rodriguez, his friends are speaking out about what's really going on.
According to inside sources, it's Cynthia Rodriguez that has "emotionally abused" A-Rod.
They say she had even given him permission to see other women!
Is that common for sports' wives????
A source says, "When you keep a man caged, he's going to go crazy when you let him out."
According to the pal, A-Rod asked for a divorce earlier this year.
The source continues, "He said, ‘I hate this. I want out,' but she kept insisting they could work it out. After about six months of him asking for a divorce, she said it was okay for him to see other people, but she wouldn't agree to a separation."
Do you believe that?
A longtime friend of the couple says, "Alex has always been into psychotherapy, making himself mentally stronger. He's had several therapists. Cynthia has a master's degree in psychology. Once she found out how vulnerable he was, she got into his head. Several of us begged him not to marry this woman, but he did it anyway."
Interesting.
And her Orthodox Greek background didn't clash well with his Dominican heritage they say.
A source adds, "She said she wanted him to become a mainstream sports star. She didn't want him typecast as a Latin player. She discouraged him from taking part in Hispanic community events. She wouldn't even let him eat Spanish food."
You can't keep a man away from his food!
Another source chimes in, saying, "He's been miserable for a long time, but he's happy now."
Neither side has commented yet, though we're interested to see what Cynthia has to say.

Ok not sure if this is 100% true but some of it makes a lot of sense o me. I have followed baseball for many years and I am dominican. I can remember when A-Rod was with the Mariners & the Rangers, him being more in touch with hispanics, being involved with hipanic organizations and giving interviews with hispanic media. I haven't seen much of that lately.
I don't mean to stereotype but I have crossed paths with many, many Greek women and they definitely have some issues. I am so suprised that she married a Dominican with her being an ORTHODOX Greek. Her family must have disowned her or I guess his millions supercedes him not being Greek.

A-Rod is such a ho. Before he was married (and still could be) he used to take hookers all the time at the 4 seasons in Newport Beach when he played for the Mariner's. Oh yea and there is that blonde stripper. One of many.
I do know that Cynthia "discourage" Alex from playing for the Domincan Republic during the World Baseball tournament a few years ago, even though he wanted to.
Re: L – Sorry, Andy Pettitte really IS as devoted as his image would suggest. I train with another pitcher in the off season, and he's tight with Pettitte. According to him, Andy's a fantastic guy all the way around. No fakeness about him.
