Blake Fielder Civil was sentenced to 27 months in jail on Monday.
The druggie was convicted of trying to pervert the course of justice in the great bodily harm case against him - stemming from a bar incident where he beat the shit out of a pub owner a whiles back.
Blake's devoted wife, Amy Winehouse, must not have given a shit. She missed Monday's sentencing.
She was probably smoking crack with Pete Doherty!

He will be out by xmas. In the UK, you serve half the sentence minus any time already spent in jail (9 months). He has 4 and a half months to do and he'll be out.

Who cares if he has two years in jail. I just want to hear how Amy's doing. She is an amazing talent, and I hope she comes to her senses and starts living healthier so we witness her talent for years to come.

He'll be out in about 5 months…he only has to serve half of the 27 months (because it's less than a 4 year sentence), and he's already served a significant chunk of that time.

its the UK toots. he'll be out in a few months. seems a bit stupid to me that he got that long when you consider doherty hasn't been sentenced to any jail time, not to mention the stupid sentencing knife crime carries. oh well, he'll be out by christmas!

Unfortunately he's already served 9 months on remand and will probably be out in 4 months or so on good behavious, its the way it works over here!!!!! It'll be interesting to see how much worse Amy gets when he's out, its a speeding train waiting to crash!!!!

He got 27 months, and he's already served 9 of those months, so now he has 18 months left of his sentence. He'll be out in 2010, possibly sooner. It sounds daunting, but it's what was expected considering he plead guilty.

Re; Bossie and Poppy, Pete was put inside and secondly the only person Pete abuses is his self. Blake and friend, beat this guy up so bad he had to have metal plates put in his face, the difference is the severity of the crime.

He won't be in Prison for a loooooong time. Here in the Uk we have the most wonderful justice system! (get the scarcasm there??). You only serve half your sentence, minus the 9 months he has already served. He will be out by Xmas.

I don't know about the UK jail system but I do know that here in the US, he would get the 8 months knocked off his jail term as time served and probably only do about 6 more months. Not that big of a deal.
