Dress Rehearsal….Online!

As we've previously mentioned, Jimmy Fallon will be taking over for Conan O'Brien on Late Night when ginger locks takes the late night top spot from Jay Leno.

Well, the producer of Late Night, Lorne Michaels (who also heads up Saturday Night Live too), wants Jimmy to "to work out as many of the rough spots in his presentation" online before the big dance, according to the New York Times.

The web performances will likely begin in the fall, long before the transition in '09.

The online videos probably won't be anything like an entire hour-long show.

Michaels said, “I expect that we’ll do something like 5 or 10 minutes.”

He went on to say Jimmy most likely will be on every night, to try to establish the rhythm of a nightly show, “I’m going to post them at 12:30 every night, so people will begin to look for Jimmy at that time.”

Hey, Jimmy/Lorne…he can try his stuff out on Perez TV!

this is a good idea, considering Jimmy couldn't get through a single SNL sketch without fucking laughing.

Living proof of how far you can go with no talent (or personality). But, more power to him, it should give us all hope!

      Interesting.
I'm still 'iffy' on Jimmy Fallon.
At least he got to practice on SNL with Weekend Update.

I saw him in montreal on friday night after Russel Brand's comedy show. People were gathered in the lobby of the theatre waiting for Russel to come down and do a meet-n-greet and in comes Jimmy. I guess everyone was to shy to go up to him or something ’cause he stood around for a minute waiting/not knowing what to do and then just ducked out. I felt kinda bad, lol.

NO ONE HAS EVER OR WILL EVER BE AS GOOD AS CONAN O'BRIEN!!!
      NOT EVEN ME, OPRAH.

YOU ARE SUCH A FLAMER. The fact that you go to extraordinary lengths to appear an authentic woman is kinda gross. A genuine MAN who likes other MEN is still a man…not some phony over-the-top-lisp-having-finger-snapping-eye-rolling effeminate actor on his own stage.

I hope he doesn't suck. If he does I'll just spend all of my time watching the shows on Digital Funtown. They are always hilarious.

Jimmy Fallon is considered funny and talented?
      On what planet?
      I won't watch.

    24. 24

Wow. This should be as big of a hit as the Megan Mullally Show.

this douche bag has even less talent than conan o'brien, why the fuck do we need all the mediocre shows about celebrities.

I'm so shocked to read what people are saying about Jimmy. Not funny, no personality??? Jimmy I think you are fabulous, hilarious, and I for one think you should be taking Jay's spot, not Conan the Kling on. No offense to Conan, but I'm just not feeling it. He's no Dave.

Why would he want to do it on perezTV? You're a chump and would just hurt his ratings :)

Let's see if I have this straight….Conan O'Brien (one of the truly funniest men on late night) will hand the show over the Jimmy Fallon (one of the truly UN-FUNNIEST men in the world, except in his own head, who has NO career and will fail terribly on late night)! So, who's smokin' crack here? The TV execs. Who's dick did stupid Jimmy have to suck to get that gig? Seriously folks. I guess we will all be going to be earlier…after Conan that is…..

Jimmey reminds me of a nervous guy who fidgets when he's trying to muster the words to come out of his mouth. Honestly, i don't think this is a fair trade, Leno for him but whatever! I wish him well he is a funny guy…i just hope he gets that nervous thing under control.

Don't you think your production values are too low for such a big act? Just sayin. You couldn't supply wardrobe , and you would hog all of the make-up!

Jimmy Fallon is THE MOST ADORABLE, funny and endearing personalities to come out of SNL in years, since well, the 70's …..I wish him all the best, and I know he will ROCK late night!!!!

      GO JIMMY!!!

Jimmy Fallon is NOT funny, and a no-talent moron! It's going to be funny to see how short his stint on the show is. Mark my words! Maybe the geniuses will replace him with Carson Daly…oh, that might be worse!!! No personality=No talent!!!
