DMC, of legendary rap group Run-DMC, has been hospitalized.

The rapper was admitted to a New Jersey hospital on Thursday after suffering from pain and swelling in his right arm.

Upon his arrival, doctors discovered two major bloodclots.

That sounds kind of serious.

He was scheduled to have surgery on Monday.

We hope he will be up and performing again soon.

Reverend Run, please pray for him!

      I wish him and his family the best! I too have blood clotting disorders and have to watch out for swelling and pain in my legs . . . its scary! But it sounds like he did the right thing in going to the hospital and might have caught it just in time!!! Feel better soon!

      Those blood clots must be pretty serious to require surgery. They must not be able to disolve them with blood thinners.

      ahh blood clots are sooooo much funnnnn. at 17 i was hospitalized with one in my left shoulder. hey at least he get the morphine. that's the good stuff.

      Perez… your lack of info is alarming… DMC doesn't perform.. he lost his voice a decade ago… I don't understand how out of the loop you are.. If I notice this, then people with clout in your 'business' must be laughing at you… you should do something your good at.. like scrubbing down glory holes… no offence, it's just that you have zero cred.
