Looks like Bravo might have found something to fill the hole Project Runway will be leaving when it heads off to Lifetime next year!
The network has picked up Sarah Jessica Parker's rip off of Project Runway.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, it's a show that would feature aspiring artists producing various styles of artwork (painting, sculpting, etc.), which is then judged by a panel of experts.
Does SJP even know anything about art?
The Runway copy cat sounds boring to us.

Question. How do you judge art? It is as unique as the media you work with… its stupid. They seriously need to come up with better shows, not ones which group a bunch of different things together and try to pick a winner. Its like having a best in show for Horses. But there are ducks, roosters, and sheeps.
Look at article in NYT or google EVERY PERSON IN NEW YORK for cool art. Also TUMBLR has cool artisots. FRANGRY killer email today have that cat email you everday with that nad rant

TV judges are never a synonym of expertise.
I love PR and lots of the Bravo shows, but honestly, it doesn't really always seem like the judging is done on merit, but rather to please thier target audience and politics.
Judging art on a fucking tv show is just plain WRONG. Or maybe an artform unto itself, but done on Bravo, you can be sure it will be biased and slanted and have nothing to do with real art. What a great way to pander to the wanna be's, it will probably be a huge hit. Sucks there isn't better arts education in the US.

i think it sounds great…no one can claim to own the reality competition show format, and i think that SJP probably does know something about art. what does heidi know about fashion other than wearing it? does she understand construction or design issues? not criticizing heidi, just saying i think the SJP show is not a rip-off, or imitation of project runway
