When we first heard My Cowboy, we thought it was a new Christina Aguilera song. But it's not.
The tune is sung and co-written by this young gal named Jessie James, a promising young upstart from Georgia.
She's currently working on her debut album - with no release date set yet - but this song could already be a huge hit for you.
Think Xtina with some Carrie Underwood thrown in there.
It's pop with some country flair and a touch of grit!

Jessie is from my hometown, She has a AMAZING voice, and for those of you who cant recall she was a top finalist 2 years ago for the "My Grammy" with justin timberlake. She WILL go far…Way to go Jessie!

I actually went to the same high school that she did, shes from my home town. She's actually pretty good. If you search for her myspace some of her songs are on there, shes good.

Perez I'm so glad you took notice of Jessie! I actually found out about her way back in February when Justin Timberlake did that contest with the Grammys and she was in the top 5, which is how she got her record label deal. I'm not sure how I feel about this song, but on her MySpace page she has/had a song called, "Liar," which is by far my fave. Check it out!
Jessie James is a shit name. She should have changed it, whenever people want to look for her music they will be stuck looking through hundreds of "Jesse James" crap. I just tried youtube and it's pages of it, impossible to ever find her music.
This is one of the few times I don't agree with your musical selections Perez. First, yes she sounds EXACTLY like Xtina (not that its a bad thing - but I think it will hinder rather than help her…she oversings like Xtina). But basically this song is all fluff. I've listened to it twice and I have no idea what she's saying half the time and the other half I tune out. Its fluffy just like Carrie Underwood (nothing like the country-pop of Shania Twain).
