Nooooo! Jason Mraz not only makes the worst music ever inflicted upon mankind but he's a mean and unintelligent person. Very and repeatedly mean to others in the San Diego music scene. Also, he is SOOOOO UGLY!!!! Perez, loves you but I have to say a big "PASS" on Jason Mr-ASS.
Re: capra – He's actually supposedly 'nice' but is extremely fake and two-faced especially to other musicians from San Diego where he got his start. Don't be fooled like everyone else. He's a total self-obsessed jerk. Oh yeah, this is not 'italy' replying so good at least there are a few people on here not mesmerized by his cheesy, faux-independent lyrics and weaselface.
He kind of reminds me of Milo Ventimiglia. The way his mouth moves.
Jason is really an awesome artist, and yeah, his lyrics are incredible. The hippie thing makes me want to smack him around a little bit though. Sorry. It would be cool to see him interviewed by someone who carry a conversation the next time. How awkward is it every time Perez talks to someone?
Anyhow…so the song Butterfly is fucking great…the part where he goes "You make my slacks a little tight…" is fucking brilliant. Love him. He needs to put that song out instead of songs from three years ago.

Actually, he's a total prick who USED to be an amazing vocalist. He writes nothing but tripe now (blown through that thesaurus, have you, Jason?) and steals from artists with real talent. If you locate his pre-Rockets songs, you'll see he USED to be able to hit notes that gave you goosebumps. Now he writes crap, and the songs that were originally good are rearranged to be pop friendly and consequently blow chunks.
Feel free to adore the man, but let's not fool ourselves. Mraz has a hell of a public persona, but privately he's a total cocksucker who shits on his friends.

Throwing one tour his way (after HOW many years??) and a couple of video appearances (by the way, blink and you miss Toca, which is rather telling, don't you think?) is not helping him.
Ask around San Diego. Anyone who is still there who was there when Jason lived there will tell you he's a douche. Don't I agree with another poster—feel free to dig on his crappy music, but don't make the guy a saint. Unless you know him personally, you don't know shit about him, no matter what you've "heard", yo.
It would be nice if he'd start making good music again. He used to rock. Now all he does is get interviewed about fucking avocados.
Mr.A-Z is a genius. He truly is one of a kind. He has such a unique view of the world. He has a great sense of humor and he knows how to play with words. He has amazing talent and a voice that soothes your soul. His blogs are amazing. He should right a book - just the style of his writing grabs you. He is an under-appreciated artist. Just from his lyrics you get a sense that he is a very intelligent man. I look forward to his US tour! Jason Mraz is awesome.

Jason is NOT dating Colbie Calait He's dating a girl called Tonya I met her on his UK tour and she is lovely. An d of course he has a public persona Duh! most people who perform have some sort of public persona. And hell I love his music him and Toca have been great when I've met them.
