Sad sad news.
Estelle Getty has passed away.
The legendary actress died today in her Los Angeles home at 5:35 A.M.
She was 84.
While this is truly sad news, we must be comforted to know that she is in a better place now.
The Golden Girl had been very sick recently and had been fighting dementia for years.
Our thoughts go out to her family.
So sad.

I loved her. :'( I literally JUST watched the episode last night where she thought she died, and went to heaven to be with her late husband; she was so happy. And I wake up this morning and read this. So fucking weird.

This is so sad. I was watching season 7 (I have all the seasons on DVD) of the Golden Girls and I was thinking about her and how her health is. And I read this now. But, she was really sick and is better off now. RIP Estelle!

this is soooooo sad!!! i used to watch Golden Girls everytime it was on when I was little with my grandmother, who is Estelle Getty's age. And who could forget her as Sly Stallone's mom in Stop or my mom will shoot..or her guest appearences as Sophia from golden girls on Empty Nest. RIP to yet another Legend! :*(
