Collectively, the top male actors took home approximately $487 million this year - as opposed to the leading ladies who brought in $244.5 million.
And, of that, the highest paid male actor is surprisingly Will Smith.

Mike Myers did well, considering the last movie he was in was released in 2006, a voice over job for Shrek 3. His last real movie was 2003's Dr Seuss.
In 2008 he made The Love Guru, universally considered a career-ender, a disastrous bomb that is getting rock bottom low ratings. Even worse than a movie with bad jokes is a funny movie with no jokes at all.
According to the article the $55 million he is getting is all from the Shrek line. It's just hard to believe, IMDB says he got $3M for Shrek and $10M for Shrek 2. For Shrek 3 he apparently got a percentage of the gross, and strangely enough it grossed $320M so if he negotiated 15% of that, it's a lot of cash.
