Gamers are "usually" male because games are usually geared towards boys and/or men. (Sports, shooting, robots, etc.) Girls will buy these games. I remember owning a Barbie game for Gameboy that took place in a mall…

Umm, no. I am a girl and a gamer, and I play the same games guys play. I'm a girlie girl too, but I hate girlie games- they tend to be boring, have no plot, and have crappy graphics.
I happen to love all of those movies too, but unless the games were actually decent I don't see myself spending the money on them (I'd rather buy the new Trauma Center game!)

Actually alot of girls game. My girlfriend is one of them, though she doesn't play as much as me. I wonder if these three games actually appeal to girls? Are games like these an attempt to lure girls into video game or are these games a responce to girls who already play games and need something a little more girly to play.
Well if history is any indication these games will suck balls. Most licensed games do, with a few exceptions.

I wouldn't. I play roleplay games quite a bit, and wouldn't go near these real-life-barbie-portrayals-turned-video-games. When I play video games, I do it because I want to experience something different like taking on the role of a fantasy character, not going through my closet to pick which outfit will land me some cheesy date with some Captain Douche-o.
