"Lotus Outreach is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered in California, dedicated to ensuring the education, health and safety of vulnerable children.

Lotus Outreach was initially incorporated as a secular, non-profit organization in the United States to increase support for established educational programs operating in refugee communities in India. Since then, Lotus Outreach has expanded both the reach and scope of our work. While expanding access to education remains a top priority, we are also tackling grittier issues such as preventing the sexual exploitation of children and rehabilitating survivors of human trafficking. Our programs are made possible by generous donors, responsible corporate contributors, dedicated volunteers, and by virtue of the talented partners we work with in the field."

I love that Perez put this non-profit up. I know the people who run and it's an amazing nonprofit. I told them it was on here and they had no idea. They are very excited. The number of children and women that they help in Cambodia is awesome. Thanks Perez

Time for the Indians to take care of their own. We've already shipped tens of thousands of jobs over there. What are they doing with all of their new found wealth?

Re: sick – There spending thier money on fast cars that guzzle gas, that's why the price of gas is jumping (so the oil companies say). I know five people who lost their jobs here because they were sent to India, so screw that! American's better start becoming "Americans" again, instead of just living in America. Time to start taking our country back. (That means all US Cititizen, no matter what color/race/sex).

great to see you giving publicity to good charities. i've done work with human trafficking campaigns with my HS, and it is a really unknown cause but one that people are often interested to help out with.

      to cover a few comments
      1. even if perez does not donate, he is putting this charity on his site which millions of people visit thus ensuring them at least some substantial amount of donations. moreover, at least perez is doing something- like promoting these charities and helping them thus. don't sit on your ass and bitch when you probably have no sense of civic duty
      2. don't demean someone else's efforts to make a difference, regardless of what they are trying to make a difference in, as long as it is a good cause!
      3. human trafficking occurs in the united states. this charity indirectly helps children who have been trafficked here/there/wherever.
      4. how dare any of you place a value on a child's life and wellbeing? sure, charity starts at home, but perez is merely trying to breed awareness. your demeaning of someone else's human dignity and human rights, a CHILD's HUMAN DIGNITY surely highlights how ignorant you are! a child who has been sexually exploited in another country does not do it out of their own free will! i can't believe some of the comments here.
      5. Because YOU lost your JOB to INDIAN FACTORY WORKERS does not mean you BLAME THE INDIAN FACTORY WORKERS YOU IDIOT. YOUR COMPANY IS THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR OUTSOURCING, NOT INDIA.

Fuck india, what about the kids here in the U.S. can't u see that our country is also struggling. Have you even looked around in L.A. There are homeless kids that have only one good meal when they go to school. What the hell is wrong with you help your own country, before you decide to make other country stronger then ours.

"A Worthwhile Cause" is to give the best education to our country(U.S.)'s children and keep the jobs in the U.S.
