What do people expect, these celebrities dont know how to run their own lives and stay off of drugs much less help their own child to become a normal person w/ values, morals, and a mind of their own.
There is no Saint Bob. There is no Santa Angelina. There are celebrities who choose to do good work with their millions, and that is to their credit. It would also be possible for them to do much of this work privately, or far less conspicously. I understand the argument that their high profile brings attention and dollars to the cause; it also brings accolades which feed their gigantic egos. I am not at all surprised by this article. Peaches is everything her parents raised her to be, quite sadly. Save the world, mess up beyond hope the lives of the only people for whom they actually have personal responsibility.

It's important to the girls that they think their mother died accidentally of a drug overdose. It would be more hurtful for those girls to think their mother committed suicide intentionally & wanted to leave them.

Amanda Platell is a right wing judgemental **** but then again so is Bob. There is some truth there though but I can't help but think Peaches loves all the attention and articles like that just feed into it. Maybe she staged the so called overdose.
I say take her money and lifestyle away from her and make her get out in the real world and support herself and believe she will learn from her mistake real fast. Just another spoiled brat.
Bob Geldof has not, nor has he ever been, a "Saint". He was your typical boozing, drugging, groupie-shagging rock star whose only difference from others like him was his charity work. Listen people; being charitable does NOT automatically make you a good person.
This girl had the odds stacked against her from the beginning. With a name like "Peaches", how could you NOT be doomed? Her father was a rock star; her mother was a groupie. Her mother died from drugs. She was born into a life of sex, drugs and rock and roll. I guess in some ways her life seems eviable; she's rich, gets to hang out with the rich and famous, gets to wear pretty clothes and travel and go to great parties and screw older, famous men. Sounds like heaven, right? WRONG. Her life is so empty and meaningless it is to weep. She could save herself, but I don't think she will. Like I said, she's doomed.

She is a 19 year old brat who has lost a mother at a very young age,shes gonna do what she wants and will have to take responsibility for her own actions.Bob should bring her to Darfur for a couple of months that might wake her up.
are you fucking kidding me? she is an adult. her mother had many struggles with drugs and a very high profile lifestyle. methinks this "Amanda" person needs to get off her high horse and just STFU already. that said, Peaches needs to get a fucking clue before she does end up like her tragic mom leaving 4 young daughters behind. but i don't feel like Geldof should be ashamed…he should be pissed off that once again his name is being raked through the mud by some stupid gossipmonger without an ounce of intelligence. The person who wrote this article should be ashamed. This is very cold, insensitive and judgmental. People struggle with addiction from all walks of life. Some teenagers rebel from their parents lifestyles, and others repeat them. As individuals, we have the ability to do as we please. Short of locking her up, it was her choice. I'm sure the tragedy of the accidental drug overdose is not lost on them. They have a right to grieve as they please and not be judged by someone else's actions.
Here's something else to consider… If he taught Peaches that her mom wanted to die, that would mean she was in control of her fate. A better lesson is that with drugs, you don't know what you are getting and it could be fatal.

Geldof must someday answer to what happened to Michael and Paula - I think he is in denial. RIP Michael and Paula.
Geldorf was the first of many who have used their celebrity status in a major way to donate to and/or work for charity in a highly visible and public way. For this he is given a knighthood and the status of a saint, hence being beyond criticism. Sure he may have done some good raising money for people in poor countries, but one of the major criticisms levelled at this type of "band aid" charity is that is does not confront the issues causing the poverty, examples being civil strife within the countries themselves, and the way the West extorts developing nations for their own political and corporate interests. It seems that while Sir Bob was off in his blaze of glory changing the world, he should have been paying more attention to what was going on in his own family. The fact that he obtained custody of Hutchence's daughter, Tiger Lily, is beyond belief, and shows the influence he wielded. Hutchence despised the man. Peaches is yet another "poor, little, rich girl". Maybe realizing that you will one day have to fend for yourself in the world instead of relying on daddy's money is the healthiest place for a young person to be. It forces you to have to make something of yourself. Never mind, she still made the red carpet for the "Batman" premiere.
