Daughtry played my town last year. I have a friend who worked the venue. He's been there 15 years and says he's never met a bigger douche than Daughtry. Asshole pulled a Diana Ross and had his "people" tell others not to look at or talk to him backstage.

Avril hasn't been marketed well in the american market, she rarely does interviews or television, nelly furtado released "loose" which made her play arena's before that her "folklore" album did nothing, if Avril hooked up with better writers and producers she could make a "comeback" L.A. Reid (who discovered Avril) said it best "the industry is about hits period" better songs mean better attendance. IT'S NEVER OVER!

daughtry is everything that's wrong with music, cleverly marketed garbage (how many bands are named after the lead singer?) I can see why their original guitarist left, he realized how bad the music was. With Avril at least she's trying new sounds for her music, with daughtry all you get is radio friendly/bland/generic rock music.

It's actually pretty sad that either of them are playing at Toms River Fest. The concert will be held in what we locals call the Ritacco Center (Ticketmaster likes to call it Poland Spring Arena - Arena it is NOT) It's actually an overhyped school gymnasium with bleachers and folding chairs located on the grounds of Toms River High School North. In fact my son's 8th grade graduation was held there in June. Carrie Underwood is actually playing there the day before (August 2). I don't mind the small venue, or the fact that they had nothing better to do than travel to Toms River, NJ I won't be complaining when I'm up close and personal with Chris Daughtry!
