A Perezcious reader in Deutschland tells us that the wacky and tacky Bai Ling will be the "presenter" of the Beijing Olympic Games for the big state-owned TV Station, ZDF.

ZDF is apparently already running trailers proclaiming, "Bai Ling presents the Olympic Games in the ZDF".

      If you watch her Chinese films you will see she is a fantastic actress it's not her fault that an Asian actress in Hollywood either plays a hooker or needs to be good at martial arts.

      I' am from Germany and I can tell You: it's a ridiculous disaster. You can hardly understand what she's saying… Even her Chinglish is better than her German. She obviously does not know/understand what she is actually saying, she is only reading a phonetical transript. She is known in Germany as the "Berlinaked", because she was a onetime member of the Jury (!) of the Berlinale (Filmfest Berlin) and almost wore nothing on the red carpet.

      They do like her in Germany. As someone above already mentioned, she was selected to be one of the main judges at Germany's biggest film festival (Berlinale) and kept gaining positive (!) press for constantly showing her tits on the red carpet and kept gracing newspaper and magazine covers on a regular basis. I know a few people in my surrounding who thinks she's the hottest thing on earth LOL Germans are a bit 'crazy' when it comes to such things… they have the weirdest celebrities. But it's part of their charm. I'm a French student living in Germany since 2004 and I enjoy every crazy minute.

      it seems that she really will be involved, even if not mehtioned on the ARD's website. found only one source that says that she will be explainign special chines terms to the german viewers. but guess that will be kind of ironic made.

      She medeled in Tibetan Monk Rubber Bullet Biatholon and set the record this year for Ignoring Uncomfortable Questions and Distracting the Conversation.

      I dislike Bai Ling and Tila as much as the next person, but it would be so great if a good Asian actor/actress came along that you supported. Want to know my recommendation?

      I've seen the stories over the years of her crazy behavior. But then I finally saw her in something for the first time–an episode of Lost. I was blown away. She's really a good actress. She was totally believable & expressed a variety of realistic emotions and behaviors in the Lost episode. I think she's great, and I hope we see more of her. Who cares what she does off screen. At least she's not mean to other people or rude or racist–just does whatever the heck she wants, whether people like it or not. If that's "train wreck,"then maybe we need more train wrecks! :-)
