The Judas failed to take the top spot on the best seller's list and came in at #3.

Ha!

We wonder if he'll still be in the top 10 next week.

Why buy the book when all the good stuff's already been revealed?

I read the book for free while eating pastries at Barnes and Nobles. It turns out she deserves his tell all book because she doesn't seem to care much about her own siblings. While I understand her strained relationship with one of her older bullying brothers, the book doesn't shed light on why she is distant with her own sisters. Another thing that disappointed me was I was hoping he would shed light on her thoughts about other pop superstars of that era. It was more about the actors in her life. It is well known that she is not exactly close to the Janets, Whitneys. What did she think of Lauper in their heydey? What was the whole deal with escorting Michael Jackson to the Oscars stunt? What did she think of Prince? Or Springsteen? NOTHING. The only musician who gets a little ink in that book is Sting who socializes with the couple. On the plus side, it is a restrained book. Though that is a negative too. Madonna should be thrilled that he did not divulge all her dirt.

I read the book, and quite, honestly, it made me cringe that her own brother wrote that stuff about her but, ultimately, I think Madonna deserved it. I don't care how successful I become in life, I would never give my family the cold shoulder. I would be generous and share my wealth with them. I think she took advantage of her brother and had something like this coming.

Um #3 is very good. It's an awesome book. There's so much that hasn't been reveled. The publishing company that owns the rights to this book made sure just to let some of the juicy parts out but theres so much more. This book is Madonna's family giving her the big middle finger for being such a bloody cunt.

Madonna clearly saw some sort of talent in him, or she wouldn't have continuously hired him to artistically direct her tours and decorate her homes. When they had a falling out because she'd once again stiffed him his fee, she made sure to go around telling everyone he was her estranged brother and therefore, by way of her own powerful position, he essentially wound up blacklisted. She insisted that he go to rehab but when the doctors ran tests and and concluded that he wasn't an addict, she went ballistic on the docs and tried to force them to rehab him anyway. And she still went around telling everyone her brother was a coke addict, even after doctors had concluded that he was not.

So without Madonna, he'd be unemployed. With Madonna, he'd be employed at her will for big notoriety and below minimum pay (that she'd often try to get out of paying him anyway) and if he didn't live his private life according to her personal rules, she'd make it so that no one would risk hiring him for fear of pissing her off. So that means he winds up unemployed either way, doesn't it?

As I said, the book did not go far enough. He does not shed light on why the only female stars she mingles with are either actors or talk show people. She never seems to be friendly with fellow female star singers of her age group. FOr that matter, she doesn't seem to have much interaction with a lot of the male singing stars of her generation either. Kind of interesting dynamic there.

Every family has issues and he just wanted to share his life experiences with his sister…who happens to be a controlling, attention loving, conniving and very cautious with her money person. Like I said…A very good read indeed! So why not talk and make a load of money…She's gonna be in the history books so what the heck? BTW: While the book was interesting, it wasn't anything that we don't alreadyknow - THAT MADONNA IS A SPOILED BITCH!
I love it that Christopher was asked in an interview last week if he "recognized the Madonna from years ago"…and he replied: "NOT SINCE SHE'S HAD A FACELIFT" Hahaha! Gotta love it! On national T.V. no less!
What would definitely make a good read, would be a book by her daughter Lourdes! I can almost bet that mother & daughter will have a falling out at some point in the future.
P.S. I think Madonna is beginning to look like "Betty Davis" in some weird odd way. (and I don't mean a "young" Betty Davis either!)

Is there anything worse in the world than a brother doing this to his sister!!!!!
I guess family doesn't mean anything to him. Look at his face. He looks clearly untrustworthy from even this distance. Very sad. Families should stick together and love eachother. What is wrong with some people. And also I bet the book is boring and there isn't anything in it I haven't heard or seen or done before.

uh…just came back from the ny times site and under hardcover non-fiction, christopher is @ #2!! and congrats!! the only negative things he really says about her is that she's stingy with money and that she's a pain in the ass to work for. he says a lot of nice things about her and is proud of her success. perez, you really should read the book first before making your harsh judgments!

I read the book and dont think it is as bad as everyone is making out. He is simply showing us a more 'human' Madonna who has flaws like the rest of us. I didnt think there was anything shocking about the book - Madonna's behaviour that Christopher talks about in the book is nothing that I did not already suspect about her.

I am a Madonna fan and have been all my life and I am not pissed at Chris for doing the book, nor has anything in the book changed the fact that I love Madonna.
