Could the couple that used to say they didn't care to conceive naturally and would rather adopt have done this?
According to US Weekly, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt conceived their new twins, Vivienne and Knox, through in-vitro fertilization.
That kinda makes sense. Angie was looking WAY TOO SKINNY to have gotten pregnant naturally last year. We've always suspected Nicole Richie used IVF too.
A source says, "They conceived through in vitro fertilization. They both desperately wanted more babies soon."
Well that would explain why Jolie had twins, since multiples are usually a side effect of IVF.
According to Dr. Arthur Wisot of L.A.'s Reproductive Medical Group, the chance of having fraternal twins at Angelina's age naturally, she's 33, is under 1%. But with in-vitro the chances become 25%.
Dr. Wisot says, "We live in an era of reproductive freedom, so anybody can do anything they want within legal limits."
A source says Angelina chose the procedure so "she wouldn't have to deal with the stress of trying to get pregnant. She could just knock it out."
What stress? Don't people like to get pregnant by having lots of sex?

I don't understand the "too thin" to get pregnant excuse. Kate Moss and Nicole Richie are way too skinny and they got pregnant quite easily. They don't strike me as the types to get invitro. Since when is invitro a simple procedure? It's not like scheduling a medicure. It takes months of testing, injections, etc for the invitro process. It's not easy by any stretch of the imagination.
Ask anyone that has done IVF . . . IVF is not easy or less stressful! You have to give yourself shots three to four times a day, and you have to have your blood levels checked everyday. Then you have surgery to remove the eggs, and then several days later the Doctor places the embryos inside of you. Afterwards, you have to go on bed rest for three days. Not to mention that the fertility drugs make you crazy! Sex is a lot more enjoyable. If you are stressed about sex, then you are not doing it right.
They did IVF to avoid stress?? This "source" has obviously never done IVF. I'd totally choose sex over twice daily hormone injections, vaginal ultrasounds every other day and having my vaginal wall poked by a huge needle to surgically remove my eggs. Yeah IVF is soooooo much less stressful. Asshats.
I'm a fraternal twin, my mum had me and my twin when she was (gasp) 33 - no IVF involved. It's not like she gave birth to frogs - now, that would be suspicious. I don't see what's so suspicious about this.
IVF has quite a low success rate and is harder work and more stressful than the natural way.

He could fuck me daily for 10 years and never get me pregnant. My fallopian tubes are open and I ovulate every month. Sounds like there may be a problem on your end. Go see you doc and jerk off in a cup. For $100 they'll tell you the results.

Being "way too skinny", or unhealthy does not mean IVF is your solution. A woman has to be healthy for any pregnancy to occur. She stll uses her eggs and still has to have normal cycles in order to become pregnant by IVF.

Right before she announced her pregnancy it was reported she was doing fertility treatments. I believe it, but I am not sure I buy the IVF. That's extremely invasive to do just to have multiples. It's more plausible that she took medication to ovulate, which ups your chances of multiples. I personally think she wanted to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. This way she only goes through one pregnancy and gets two out of it. It's obvious Brad wants the biological kids and that's why she is having them.

IVF treatment is incredibly stressful for both partners and for it to be successful can take many many years. Natural conception in two young and fertile people is possibly more likely to happen than conception through IVF!

Tyring to get pregnant (even if it is with Brad Pitt) is stressful because you never know the right day, you have to conserve sperm so you cant just do it with eachother when you feel like it. Its not just like, craxy sex everytime you want it. Its, oh Im horny now but we cant do it. Then, your tired and expected to preform instantly becuase you think it is the right time of the month.
You only have 24-48 hours every month where pregnancy can actually occur, so when it does it really is a miracle. If you dont do in-vitro it truly is a crap shoot and could take several years. I totally understand why she and Brad would chose to do it this way, so they can enjoy eachother and not worry about it.
