New Love For Heath's Ex?

After the death of Heath Ledger, all eyes were on the well-being of his former fiance, Michelle Williams, and their daughter, Matilda.
Now, seven months after his death, it appears Williams has found a bit of happines, with a new guy.
Reports are that Williams is said to be dating film director Spike Jonze.
Jonze is the ex-husband of director Sofia Coppola.
Williams and the over a decade older Jonze have been spotted together several times near her New York apartment in the past few weeks.
One report is of Jonze kissing Williams outside his Lower East Side Manhattan apartment earlier this month.
One onlooker says, "Michelle kissed Spike with a closed mouth on the corner of his lips. There was definitely a bit of caressing going on. She was clutching his arm. The body language was very romantic."
The pair first met back in 2006 when Williams was auditioning for a part in the film Where The Wild Things Are, to which she was offered a part but later withdrew from the movie.
The two ended up working together and forming a friendship last summer while she filmed Synecdoche, New York.
It seems like even Ledger's friends are ok with the situation.
Trevor DiCarlo, a friend of Ledgers, has been helping Williams care for Matilda while in New York.
A source says, "I saw Trevor, Michelle and Matilda out for an afternoon in the neighborhood. They walked around chatting, went to a pizza joint for lunch and took the subway. Heath would be happy to know all his loved ones are doing so well."
Williams and Ledger had been separated for a while before his death.
So is she moving too fast, or is the timing ok?

It's not like she was with Heath when he died. They had broken up before. Either way, she was obviously hurt, but she is human. I say good for her!

I DEFINITELY think that she is doing a good job moving on. It has been long enough! She wasn't even with him when he died, so technically, she could have started dating the next day! Those people who think she is wrong for this are ridiculous…you can't expect the girl to mourn Ledger her entire life. Chris Ciccone, Madonna's brother, dissed Perez big time last night on Chelsea Lately saying he was short and fat.
If they were a happy couple when he died I would say it's too soon, but they weren't. I think she deserves some happiness and I say you can't fault her for trying to find some. The only thing that matters to the rest of the world is that she takes care of her and Ledger's daughter, as long as little Matilda is being cared for then she should be left alone to do what makes her happy.

Her and Heath were not even together when he passed away. The father of her child died and she was heartbroken. I'm sure she still loved Heath, don't we all still love at least a part of our former loves. I'm glad she is moving on and not letting Heath's death over shadow the rest of her life.
I think it's about time she moved on. I mean she and Heath weren't even together anymore when he passed. It's the best for her and her little Matilda. Heath will always be apart of their lives and Michelle seeing someone new won't ever change that. And it appears that by keeping his friends and family near that she is making sure that never changes.

It's definitely time to move on. Heath had problems that helped pull he and Michelle apart, and she showed incredible strength and restraint during the storm surrounding his death. I hope she's happy, and that Matilda is happy with Mommy's new boyfriend.

Sometimes people find comfort and companionship shortly after they go through a difficult time - sometimes someone is there for you and you . Heath and her were close, but weren't an item when he died - in fact she had dated Ryan Gosling, I think, before this guy. Michelle should do what she feels is right and if Jonze makes her happy, good for her - she clearly still loves Heath even if they weren't romantic anymore when he died. She is not doing anything wrong.

First of all, his death occured on the 22nd of January, not the 28th.
I love Heath Ledger A LOT, and I'm sure Michelle does and always will and yes they have a child together, but she can't just spend the rest of her life alone and miserable. I'm happy for her and I'm sure that is what Heath would have wanted her to do. As long as Matilda always comes first to Michelle, then I see no problem with her dating.

Given the fact that they were separated BEFORE his death, i see nothing wrong with her dating again.
It's a tragic ending to their relationship as parents, not as a couple in love, so yes I think she deserves to move on and fall in love again.
