I totally get what he's saying. If his family members or friends/peers complain about his personality during shoots..they have to remember that this is his JOB and his craft. its a quote taken out of context, he was referring to how he gets into character ie: losing 65lbs for a role while not sleeping barely able to move, or when he had to gain the weight back in a short period of time for the first batman he did , all the training etc involved. Obviously when you take on the lifestyle to achieve a certain character that is what happens, and since he goes to extremes- just as Charlize Theron did in monster and who was also quoted as saying she was very depressed during that movie and her boyfriend Stuart was very supportive.
