They're a very biased news source. I'd even describe myself as "liberal" but I think it's wrong to return McCain's editorial and try and mix in and dictate how the man runs his campaign. I prefer to judge for myself if McCain's piece is good or not. I'd rather read USA Today than the Times.

Hopefully this will all turn around when we have a democrat in the White House. Remember when we were all fat and happy? Those were the days!

Please, Perez. Journalists like myself are insulted when you try to pretend like you understand the journalism industry. And Andy is right, your numbers are WAY off.

NY Times has no credibility and no objectivity whatsoever. Just like the LA Times!

Who the hell reads the old school paper these days anyway. They are dirty inky messes. They are freakin Lame and flaunt their own political agenda.

Why is anyone wasting their money on old news when the internet is where it's at. I cancelled my subscription years ago.

  23. dee says – reply to this
    23

Have you ever noticed that The NY Times is the ONLY newspaper to advertise for subscribers? Think about it…the ONLY one, and has been doing that for some time. Considering it used to be the standard for journalistic integrity (look that one up, fatty) this is shocking! Tabloid justise, I say!

    Re: HOPE

Actually the economy was great until the Democrats took control of the House in 2007 and now look at how they've ruined the economy, no wonder Congress' approval rating is even lower than Bush's

This is what happens when even the greatest newspaper in the world sinks to where NYTs is now. They have become a Liberal bullshit factory. Facts are no longer important to them. Their Liberal Agenda drives their choice of stories and their slant on those stories. Facts, to them, are things to be manipulated. Just Monday they were caught refusing to print McCain's rebuttal to Obama's essay. NYTs made weak excuses, but there is no excuse. These are the contenders for the office of President of the United States and the readers deserve to hear from both of them. Over the last decade NYTs has descended into a mire of partisanism and the readers have had enough. They quit buying the paper.

I wouldn't put that left wing rag in the bottom of a bird cage — they are elitist nutjobs who disdain Americans. No-one watches Couric, no-one reads NYT and they are too up their own asses to understand why.

I think he was trying to comment on the state of the economy. 82% from last year is one hell of a drop guys, no matter how you spin it.

  30. ugh! says – reply to this

That's because they are sooooooo sickningly biased! My uncle who a commited leftist won't even read them anymore!

    People still read newsprint?

  32. good says – reply to this
    32

Of course, it is nothing but a liberal rag that has lost it reputation because it has become nothing but a mouthpiece for the democratic party. Which if fine, but that's what happens when you sell off your professional standards and replace them for political propaganda. It is now nothing but the National Inquirer all dressed up. Hopefully Rupert Murdock will buy them too.

Re: michi – Your a moron, they HATE Bush, but since you're a dumb liberal I can't blame you for not knowing all the facts. Stupidity seems inbreed in liberals.

Wow, with that brand new huge 75 story building. Did you see that thing? Maybe they can turn it into rent control tenements. It would look great with wash hanging out the widows.

good riddance. this used to be the newspaper of choice gobally. then they became the far left, non fact checking, biased peice of crap it has become.

they believed they were better and stopped doing the hard work. there are a lot more conservatives and patriots in thsi country then they counted on. adios NYT. its sad.

Good! Fuck the new york times and the liberal bullshit they rode in on. That newspaper is in the tank for everything left wing and they have lost all cred.

  40. Fran says – reply to this
    40

Since the New Yorker would not print McCain's editorial and only Obama's. They do not report the whole news. No matter that they are Liberal, they must give all the news. Keep your focus on Fox News, which is fair and balanced, and Obamba still is on that station allot more than they and me would like. State the facts on Both!

  41. bunji says – reply to this

Um, did anyone bother to read the link? Ad revenues, which means companies (corporations) that buy advertising space, are down 16.4% Which is a natural effect of a poor economy (companies are suffering, which means layoffs and budgets go to other priorities, advertising is usually one of the first cutbacks because it is not necessary for a business to function daily). But how weird, people don't bother to check facts and say idiotic remarks out of their rear ends. I mean that never happens with people with the intelligence and vison to vote for Bush twice.

Well, it doesn't surprise me…Americans are getting sick and tired of listening to their liberal rantings and ravings. Its getting old, and so is the New York Times…
