There's some changes coming to radio soon.
The long-in-the-works merger is almost as good as done with Sirius and XM satellite radio.
The FCC commissioners are currently at a tie whether to approve the proposed takeover of XM by Sirius. The undecided member of the FCC is said to support the deal if the companies settle past rules violations.
And with current shares rising for Sirius almost 13%, the value of the pending deal soared to $3.9 BILLION!
As for XM shareholders, they'll receive 4.6 shares of Sirius stock for every share of XM stock.
Guess we should have invested before!

Sirius Satellite Radio host Howard Stern supports the merger of his network with XM Satelitte Radio and is fuming at Democratic opposition on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) panel.
“I go, ‘That’s it!’” Stern said. “[I] go, ‘You know what Don, I’ve voted Republican and I’ve voted Democrat. I have vowed I will never vote for a Democrat again. I don’t give a [expletive] – no matter who they are. I don’t care if God becomes a Democrat.’ I said, ‘I backed Hillary Clinton, I backed Al Gore, I backed John Kerry. I am done with them.’”

Stern took it a step even further and called Democrats on the FCC “communists” and referred to their tactics as “gangsterism.”
“The fact that these Democrats on the FCC are communists,”
Stern said.
“They’re for communism.
They don’t want to see companies –
this is gangsterism.
I said, ‘This is crazy.’”

You are a dumbass! Do some research it will take 5 seconds. Sirius is down 7% today as of the time of your post. Also, over the last 5 months they are down an additional 30%. Why dont you write about how the government is shaking down XM and Sirius instead of what hollywood skank is blowing what director or taxi driver. Do something useful for once!

It's gone up recently but in the last couple of years it has really tanked and hasn't recovered

First, once you listen to Sirius you will never go back to regular radio. Secondly, I'm glad Howard finally gets that most Democrats are anti-business. There is no question that the party leans to the left and favors the distribution of wealth. Hard work and the accumulation of wealth is looked down on.

Howard Stern has seen the light! A vote for a democrat or Obama is a vote for communism. That's what we've been saying all along. Better start listening to Obama's words and compare them to Marx. Two peas in pod. Obama wants global domination, taking America with just 143 days in US Senate, is not enough for the "messiah"

Where were the rules for Exxon/mobil merger? where were the rules for 15 different major outlet and oil company merger that took place in the last fucking 16 months that the fucking fcc waited while NAB and lobbyist paid their asses. Howard is right, this whole government is a travesty and the fact that this merger, after all this time and all the approvals that already took place, still haven't taken place and is facing additional rules, just a clear evidence that this is just the government forcing companies to go out of business. this isnt communism, its worse, its just plain bullying, and even though i am a democrat, I am ashamed to be one when it comes to this.
Howard has backed himself into a corner. The only reason he got his big pay day is because XM and Sirius were competing for him. Now there's no competition. Someone has to pay for that horse he's marrying to go to all the fashion shows.

xm is a very mismanaged company. Watch you bills, and when you cancel your service get it in writing. It is almost impossible to cancel your subscription. The service people are from all over the world and will hang up on you if you try to cancel. Very scary business. Merging with this company is a big mistake.
