Showgirl Gets MTV Reality Show

She's quite the busy bee these days!
MTV is developing an "unscripted" project with former Saved by the Bell star Elizabeth Berkley and her husband, artist Greg Lauren (yes, he's related to Ralph).
It will be based on Ask-Elizabeth, the self-esteem workshops for teen girls that Berkley created.
Berkley has volunteered her time facilitating Ask-Elizabeth workshops in schools and for organizations around the country for 2 1/2 years. The workshops strive to help empower girls.
Who knew the Showgirl was such a giver?
Girl power!
An MTV suit said, "She does these workshops around the country with teen girls and gets them to really open up about their issues, like self-esteem and body issues. We had been looking for a program that tackled the same issues, so it seemed like a perfect match."
MTV is hoping to shoot the pilot in the fall.
Berkley is also acting again and she must have hired herself a new publicist!

Greg Lauren = Ralph Lauren's brother? Lauren isn't even Ralph's real last name. Lipshitz is. The Brother is using the same fake name? isn't it a bit of a waste to try and build someone's self esteem. Isn't the lack of self esteem coming from an ego that is out of control? therefore wouldn't is be better to erase the ego? That would mean self esteem is perfected. In cae you wondering the ego is that nagging voice you observe in your head that says you aren't good enough and Pez is a fat ugly fag and everyone is full of shit and I hate my life and blah blah blah. Pretty much it is the ugly in everyone that sees the ugly in everyone else. without all the ego in the world we would be at peace and there would be no need to help little girls imrove their self esteem.
In other words the part of you that would decide that I am wrong and you know better is the part that has everyone fucked up. We all need to turn off that part of us that constantly evaluates everything based on what our "education" or life experience has trained us to think. just be, let it be and turn off you television for Christ sake.

I think that's about all she has to offer.
Why not strive to empower all teenagers, why make it an all girl issue. Boys have self esteem issues too.

Greg Lauren is the son of Ralph's brother Jerry. Both of Ralph's brothers, Jerry and Leonard, have changed their names from Lipshitz to Lauren.

Somebody needs to make Showgirls into a Broadway show like they did Xanadu. It could include the show-stoppers "It's a Ver-sayce!" and "You Ate All the Chips (Didn't You)"
I must say she is one of the most breath takingly beautiful, gracious people out there. When I was a kid we were on a New York city trip (also with an additional 30 French exchanged students). Elizabeth stopped to sign everyones autographs (though she seemed to be in a rush), gave hugs, spoke to everyone, and take some pictures, this was at the hight of her popularity on SBTB.
Does she teach Pole Dancing at the Workshops too? Who Wants to watch a reality show about a person from Saved by the bell? It sounds Horribly Boring! Strange that they call it unscripted… I work at a bowling alley and MTV called to see if they could film a show about girls with low self esteem there. They came in on some random sunday a few weeks ago. Anyways, they kept having people do scenes over and over again. I didn't see Jesse Spano there, but I'm guessing it's the same show. It might turn out good, but it's definitely scripted.
