    First, there are much better places to spend time in than the Castro in this great city I live in. Every heavily populated city in the world is pricey to live in. Travel much? And, stop thinking in terms of age. You might miss out on meeting someone that is amazing. I have many friends that are much older than me and couldn't imagine life without them. Lastly, there is nothing wrong with being ambitious and making some cash. I imagine the guy who's website you just posted on is making some cash in fuck you quantities. Gay men are some of the most socially responsible people I can think of. Yeah, SF is very expensive to live in. But it is a price that I obviously am willing to pay to be able to call it home.

    Trannyshack ending is so sad. I always thought it should move from the Stud. That place only holds about 50 people comfortably, but instead would be packed to the gills. One tuesday night a few years ago I remember Bjork showed up totally unannounced, to spin a set on the decks. Ana Matronic of the Scissor Sisters came outta Trannyshack. Tis a pitty. The end should be one hell of a show.

    Re: Nikku – Nikku, it is expensive, but Trannyshack isn't closing because of that. It's a weekly Tuesday night club and the show starts at midnight AND it's been packed for years! Hecklina just wants to do other shows and projects, which she has already started doing. She's been doing this club for twelve years! I'm happy for her, because she can start a new era of her life, but I'm sad because it's a great show in a San Francisco Gay institution(the Stud opened around 1975).

    I love Trannyshack! I'm effin' exhausted every Wednesday at work, but most of the show are well worth it! I wish Heklina the best of luck. With her calendar, she'll still be a busy lady. Did anyone happen to see the Trannyshack production of the Golden Girls? Flawless! The next few weeks will be amazing as Heklina brings back the best numbers of the last 12 years. I wouldn't miss the finale at the Regency for anything! August will be sad as we say goodbye, but San Francisco will surely recover. There will never be another party like Trannyshack, but we'll try.

    It is about time that tired ass club and Hecklina shut off the lights the only thinge sadder than a 100 year old queen and a bar that should be closed down is Peaches Christ thinking he is some sort of film maker. I saw one of his films and I would have been more entertained watching a blank wall. I wish I had watched a blank. They should both retire. That Monoscat is a regular turd bucket in drag and as a boy, I can't tell if that is acne or AIDS on his ugly fat face.

    actually it is sad that t-shack is closing but lets remember that the club was GREAT because of the performers and their creativity. Heklina was just good at being a complete bitch on the mic. She was awesome at alienating people…even audience members! Her drag numbers were always sub-par at best… and from what i understand the performers created most of the themes for the club nights. So exactly what are we honoring here the fact that she cashed in? But of course all she would be concerned with is wether or not you spell her name correctly thats all shes ever cared about is her self promotion. i'm not really sure what she did these past twelve years other than show up every week and count the cash.. actually i've seen the show with guest hosts so she didn't even really do that .
