Raising taxes will NOT improve the deficit- it never HAS. CUTTING social programs and pork spending added to bills that need to pass is the ONLY way to control those jackasses in CONGRESS. That was an amazing accomplishment. Then George W. *THE GOOD THINGS BUSH HAS DONE* You guys cant say he hasnt done "anything" noteable of respect. Here are a few respectable things he has done: He signed the Teacher Protection Act, which protects teachers from lawsuits related to student discipline, He signed two income tax cuts, one of which was the largest dollar-value tax cut in world history. He also granted a complete tax exemption for prepaid or college tuition savings plans. He also signed the No Child Left Behind Act, delivering the most dramatic education reforms in a generation (challenging the soft bigotry of low expectations). The very liberal California Teachers union is currently running radio ads against the accountability provisions of this Act. Those are all PRETTY important, and therefore it is absurd to say he has done "nothing" Arent you glad he did those things? I'm not a huge Bush fan, but I can say I respect him for being a "President" and he has done some respectable things in the Whitehouse!
