Uhh, no, war isn't just a part of life, especially when you don't have to go to war based on lies, you fucking retard. Was Iraq a threat to the US directly? NO
Did Iraq have any WMDs, NO, were any of the 9-11 hijackers Iraqi, NO.

Who came up with the notion of preventative war, some idiot named Adolph about 60 years ago.

Bush wanted his war, so he could give fat no bid contracts to companies like Haliburton and KBR so they could fleece the US taxpayer and screw the troops by giving them shitty equipment. So much for being patriotic…

This war had everything to do with money and oil, and nothing to do with security.

with clinton, surpluses, that's right, budget surpluses. with bush 1, bush 2 and reagan, huge deficits.

I don't like Bush at all!! The man can't even speak! He gets up in front of the podium and doesn't come across as a very intelligent or educated person. I DO believe his actions are mostly to blame for our economy. For those of you saying that it takes years to bounce back from the previous presiden's actions, how's that?!?! When Bush Senior left office our nation was in a deficit. So, I'll humor you for a second. Clinton ran 2 terms. So if it took a few (4) years to recover and get us out of the deficit that Bush Sr. left, then he ran the nation for 4 years without a deficit leaving us with a surplus at the end of his term. NOW, we have Bush Jr. that has been in office nearly 8 years. If he started running the country with a surplus at the beginning of his term then how are we negative now? IF you were to say that he had Clinton's leftovers then didn't he have 8 effin years to take care of it?!?!?! Don't try to spin it so that it makes the Republicans sound like the "Good Ole Boys".

The majority of the deficit is because of war. He(being Bush) took money from other programs to fund the war. The economy is in trouble because of a senseless war. Congress is also to blame for not stopping this president from ruining this country, I am a republican I did not or do not support G.W. Bush and I will not support John McCain. When it comes to the issues what is John McCain bitching about when it 's comes Obama, is Obama's stance on the war. I am a veteran and I support the troops not the war. The brave young men and women who put their lives on the line for what. We, the people were lied to. To all you republican supporters. Go and look the families in the eye who lost family members due to senseless war, and tell me how in the hell you can defend Bush and his policies, and yes I lost a member of my family to this war.

Here are a few respectable things he has done: He signed the Teacher Protection Act, which protects teachers from lawsuits related to student discipline, He signed two income tax cuts, one of which was the largest dollar-value tax cut in world history. He also granted a complete tax exemption for prepaid or college tuition savings plans. He also signed the No Child Left Behind Act, delivering the most dramatic education reforms in a generation (challenging the soft bigotry of low expectations). The very liberal California Teachers union is currently running radio ads against the accountability provisions of this Act. Those are all PRETTY important, and therefore it is absurd to say he has done "nothing" Arent you glad he did those things? Funny how people tend to forget the amount of money that has been spent had to be approve by someone……and funny how large the deficit is when we have had a democratic congress over the past year. People look for someone to point fingers at, such as the president, but ignore the fact that there are people who have to approve. Bush has stood by what he believes, and did not sway just because of idiot Americans who change their minds like they change their underwear!

That was an amazing accomplishment. Then George W. Bush (Jr.) took over, and he took a balanced budget (we were in the black back then) and spent TONS of money and put us into the red, BILLIONS of dollars in debt. Those are facts, and anyone who is old enough to have voted back then knows that, whether they like it or not (which Republicans don't because it means that the Democrats actually CONTROLLED spending whereas the Republicans DON'T even though they always promise it).

I love how all the conservative apes out there always blame the president before for the next presidents economy/spending. That is tired excuse and none of you have ever been able to justify that excuse with a solid answer. You are all extremely uneducated and just regurgitate garbage on a regular basis. Blah blah democrats are the big spenders blah blah blame Clinton (who left office and the country with a multi-million dollar budget surplus - for all you fools that means the opposite of a deficit) blah blah Obama will raise taxes. You all fail to realize that both Republicans and Democrats are equally large spenders it just depends on where you feel comfortable having your money routed: International (Republican) or Domestic (Democrat) spending. Personally I am sick and tired of useless war spending in Middle Eastern countries (Iraq). I would rather rack up a deficit on nationwide health care than a half decade long foreign war in a part of the world that still blames America for their problems instead of taking responsibility for their own religious and political reform. But yeah all you Republicans are spouting out you're garbage about Obama raising taxes blah blah. So I ask you this…where the hell is McCain going to get the money to keep us in Iraq for the next 8-10 years? Do you think that it will just magically appear? Obviously we will all be paying for it…so don't try and convince me that Obama is going to be the bigger spender you morons.

Re: Keane – You are seriously deluded. First, it was the combination of the Republican president and his Republican Congress (which he had through most of his presidency) who created this HUGE deficit that we are in. Secondly, who said Obama is going to raise taxes necessarily (on the people)? The Republicans? That's their election war cry. He didn't say it. But he should raise taxes on pork belly corporations who pay their undeserving CEOs millions of dollars. And as you said yourself, it takes primarily the Congress to pass such bills, so saying that Obama is going to bankrupt the nation is ridiculous, particularly given that it is George W. and his Republicans who put us into this deficit where we ARE bankrupt, not Obama. The gas prices and mortgage crisis are ALREADY here, after 8 years with Bush. Obama had nothing to do with that, and could only help.

What scares me is that even though everyone claims to hate him, if he could run for another term he'd probably win. Thank God Thank God he can't.

*THE GOOD THINGS BUSH HAS DONE* You guys cant say he hasnt done "anything" noteable of respect. I'm not a huge Bush fan, but I can say I respect him for being a "President" and he has done some respectable things in the Whitehouse!
