Re: Digus – I am and still defend him…he didn't write all the checks you dumb ass…it's congress too. do we forget there's 3 powers at hand? and nancy pelosi, a very "innocent" democrat, is the speaker of the house, which means in charge. let's wait a couple years after obama wins (if he wins…) and when we're in more trouble than just having a big deficit i will say to you remember who YOU voted for.

Re: Frank – I don't blame Clinton specifically for our deficit and i'm a republican. You think about who YOU'RE voting for. We are in a recession yet you want to vote in Obama who is going to tax every penny you have. You think the housing market is bad now? Wait till no one can afford their mortgage b/c their money is paying for everyone else's healthcare. And boy are we going to need free healthcare because everyone will be living on the streets!! You democrats think obama is going to come in and solve everything, but he'll just make it worse. Oh, but we'll be out of Iraq so it'll be ok, then the fucking terrorists (his brothers, no doubt) can come over here and start a war on OUR land.

Hey idiot did you not read the earlier quote:

All you Republicans are spouting out you're garbage about Obama raising taxes blah blah. So I ask you this…where the hell is McCain going to get the money to keep us in Iraq for the next 8-10 years? Do you think that it will just magically appear? Obviously we will all be paying for it…so don't try and convince me that Obama is going to be the bigger spender you morons.

But I guess spending twice as much on an endless war that makes you feel all safe and fuzzy inside is a better option. You must be deluded to believe that we are any safer against people who don't even value their own lives. Did you not read about the recent Al Qaeda attacks in Afghanistan (the original country housing the terrorist cells - in case you forgot by buying into Operation Iraq freedom or whatever the f$%& the peachy term they used was). There are large Al-Qaeda terrorist cells in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Africa, The Phillipines and Western countries. The majority of terrorists are outside of Iraq being left untouched and regrouping so pulling out of Iraq won't make any difference…so you can go burn your security blanket statement idiot.

Fuck you, Perez. We have both Dems and Republicans to thank for the deficit. And don't kid yourself with the modest number of $482 billion. Once you figure in Social Insecurity liabilities among other implicit liabilities we are $9 trillion dollars in debt with an economy that pulls in $13 trillion. You are so disingenous and undereducated when it comes to politics and you are a partisan, all of these lead to the American people continously getting fucked in the ass by politicians who are supposed to be looking out for us. Obama just submitted a bill (S. 2433)recently that would put $845 billion tax dollars towards fighting "global poverty" but it's more like global welfare. That's almost 1 trillion dollars. That means $2500 per american family in taxes. We are going to be the impoverished ones with politicians spending our tax dollars like this. That money could be spent on building nuclear power plants here at home for fuck's sake. I'm not voting for McSame but by God I wouldn't for "Mr. World Citizen" Obama either. It is really not our government's responsibility to take care of the citizens of other nations. They need to start thinking about taking care of their obligations to the American people.

And while I believe inspiring people to get out and vote is the first step to changing our country, I firmly believe that until we are a three party system, nothing can REALLY change. So I implore and beg you to please (continue) to use your outreach to inform the masses that there are options beside Republican and Democrats (while however reminding folks that is the electoral votes, not the popular vote — also a major flaw in our system — that elects our president) but that it takes 10% of the POPULAR vote for any party to receive federal campaign funds for the following national election. (Locally, the rules vary state to state.)

Exactly. With all the pork barrel spending, individual representatives and senators are contributing to the overall deficit. I just chewed out both my senators and they are Republicans and I'm a conservative; but I'm a real conservative not a neo com as I actually believe less government is great. The fucking government has it's nose in everything now and we are paying for them to stick their nose in everything. They screw up everything they touch. Mandated biofuel has helped drive up the price of food. Minimum wage increase has priced teenage and college students right out of jobs this summer. They implement bad policies that are hurting average americans. Anarchy is looking better and better to me.

You are such a parrot. Ww have to finish what we started. The war in Iraq isn't being fought completely in vain. You are just a naysaying, ignorant liberal communist. Iraq will be the first Arab democracy in a region of the world rife with dictatorships(Israel is the only other democratic country). Iraq is forcing other Middle Eastern countries to allow more democratic reforms. Jordan has switched to a constitutional democracy. Egypt is allowing more democratic reforms. There is a domino effect taking place but the media will never let you hear about it. The mainstream and liberal media and the Dems have more to gain from a lack of success in Iraq.

    444

The war in Iraq is forcing the middle East to modernize their governments. They are stuck in the 13th century and we are for forcing them to update to 18th and 19th century forms of government. Whether this was the right way to get them to join the modern world is debateable and can and will be debated for years to come. I personally am more worried about the fiscal repercussions of starting a 2 front war. I do believe we need to see this to the end. We need to follow through and see it to the finish. WE are neglecting Afghanistan in favor of Iraq right now which I am not in favor of. Iraq, however, is stabilizing and we need to turn the focus back to afghanistan which was the original front.

  45. Micke says – reply to this

    445

Ok, I can't listen to you dumb liberals anymore. I am an independent by the way. We have a huge deficit that started with the Afghan war (because Clinton did nothing about Al Qaida while in office.) So Bush had to. Secondly, it takes Congress (who is democratic at the moment and has an approval rating of 9%) to also spend your money. So when Harry Reid and Nancy Fucking Pelosi start blaming Bush for the deficit, they should look in the mirror. They want to give all of our money to the low life generations on welfare. Im tired of paying for you bums who refuse to work. Oh by the way Nancy Pelosi- I thought you were going to take care of the gas issue when Democrats got in Congress. Terrific job

I disagree with neocoms on whether our nation has a right to invade another country sans proof of clear and present danger to our own nation. Neither party represents me. I'm looking for a new party and Libertarian isn't quite it because I don't think a woman has a right to murder an unborn child that she concieved irresponsibly merely for the sake of convenience. I do believe if I want to grow weed in my backyard I should be allowed to as long as I'm paying my taxes and not hurting anyone. I don't need your stinking link. I'm pissed at W and the Republicans for my own reasons. Like the fact that W didn't veto any spending bills laden with pork until these past 2 years. Why didn't he find his veto pen until 2 years ago? Why did he move from unilateralism to multilateralism? First 4 years= unilateralism. These past 4 years= multilateralism. W is a globalist ultimately. Most of these politicans are fucking globalists. Obama is an admitted globalist("World citizen").They sacrifice the best interest of the American people to globalism. It's disgusting, really. The Clintons did it when they backed communist China's entry into the WTO against the interest and desire of the American people. Now our country is inundated with inferior and sometimes dangerous products from China. They say, "Oh, it's cheaper, though." But it's inferior quality and in the long run, one has to buy more of them to make up for the shoddy quality that leads to it being easily broken. So essentially it isn't cheaper.

What did you think would happen when Clinton cut military and intelligence spending in half to "balance the budget" (A chimp could have done that, but even it would have known better) during a time when we were getting attacked by terrorist? (Remember the whole terrorist thing started in 1979, and was at it's worst in the 90s) Bush HAD to spend money to bring these things that should have NEVER BEEN TOUCHED in the first place. We got attacked 2-3 times in the 90s, and then in 2001. All because we had ZERO intelligence on the matter (We had "something is going to happen somewhere" *rolleyes*

Re: RJII i hope iraq leads other countries in filing war crimes tribunal through the UN against bush and friends
Shows you have NO CLUE what is going on. Iraq doesn't hate us. It's the small number of insurgents that want to turn it into something worse than Saddam's regime. And most of them aren't even from Iraq. Check out all the Iraqi's that risks their lives to vote for freedom. Check out the ones that WERE INDEED dancing in the streets when we came and rescued them. The spin that Iraq doesn't want us there RIGHT NOW is just that. A spin. Talk to the people that actually have BEEN THERE. And LIVED with these people.

  57. 457

And btw according to the associated press and just about everyone else in that has made news, we are winning the war in Iraq.

Analysis: US now winning Iraq war that seemed lost
By ROBERT BURNS and ROBERT H. REID – 2 days ago
BAGHDAD (AP) — The United States is now winning the war that two years ago seemed lost.
Limited, sometimes sharp fighting and periodic terrorist bombings in Iraq are likely to continue, possibly for years. But the Iraqi government and the U.S. now are able to shift focus from mainly combat to mainly building the fragile beginnings of peace — a transition that many found almost unthinkable as recently as one year ago.
Despite the occasional bursts of violence, Iraq has reached the point where the insurgents, who once controlled whole cities, no longer have the clout to threaten the viability of the central government.

You have an odd definition of "winning" if you think that's victory. But then Republitards are all odd, so I'm not surprised. I'll bet Bush opens a Ministry of Truth before he leaves, in hopes more people like you will believe up is down and losing is winning.

    Re: KevinK
Since you want to cry insurgents, insurgents…. WHO ARE THE INSURGENTS?! What marks the difference between an INSURGENT and a TERRORIST?
For those with your heads up your ass the Insurgents are the locals that are sick and tired of this war in their country. They want our asses out, they want to create their own rules hat's why there is Sectarian violence. They protest and march in the streets and now we call them insurgents for throwing stones at police for surpressing their democratic protest?! Who wants to live in a police state? Yeah, think hard on who the insurgents are and the fine line that divides them from terrorists. The longer we stay the more "insurgents" tired of our "boots on the ground" we create. We stopped being percieved by the Iraqi's as heroes a loooong time ago.

EVERY conflict in the modern world can be traced DIRECTLY back to various republican administrations of the last 30/40 years as a cause (they put Osama and Saddam into power). So sad republicans would rather bash democrats than criticize their party constructively SO IT WILL IMPROVE.

Congrats you bleeding heart Democrats! Way to "spread the love" and spend all of our hard earned money.

All of you dumb fucks who think the deficit is 100% Bush's fault, do me a favor….

List one accomplishment Obama has achieved in his four years in office as senator. One. I can almost hear the furious clicking of the keys as the googling begins….

You're voting for this man simply because you know nothing about politics other than what you hear Perez or some other dumbshit celebrity without a high school diploma squawking. You have no clue about the three branches of federal government, the system of checks and balances, etc. Just that everything that is bad = Bush. Everything good= Obama. The dumbing down of a American brings us not a presidential election, instead it's a fucking American Idol contest.

If you can't explain any of the items listed above, do the entire country a favor and stay home on election day.

Fisrt off, illegals do the "jobs your blacks won't do."~ Vincente Foxx, President of Mexico
Secondly, we exploit illegals and the "pay" is not even a "living wage". You cry fowl on illegals just know they help keep costs down. If real Americans worked those slum jobs…. enjoy your next trip to grocery store. Latsly, they are still taxed and pay into a social security system that they will never be eligible to file for. If we didn't benefit from them, we wouldn't be giving them TAX ID'S instead of Social Security cards. Rotate on that.

NAME one Thing McCain has accomplished? The man self professed he knows nothing of the economy, isn't aware of healthcare policies/ regulations and although a war hero refuses benefits for our vets yet collects 100% in benefits while his injuries merit 25%. Meanwhile quadraplegics are lving in squalor and their families can barely afford their care and they sacrificed as much as McCain did for their country. Keating 5? Yeah I trust mcCain 100% *smirk* I'm tired fo career politicians that have their hands tied due to the lobbyists and ties to corporate america they are bound to.
This post is not about Obama, it's about Bush but since you wanna go there, There's your answer. McCain isn't even favored overseas! The world is watching to see if we are going to continue being gullible. It's interesting how now all the sudden the Bush admin and even McCain want to now TALK to our "enemies" when in the begining they snickered at the notion. Get a clue!

Clinton may have left a credit, but he should have used some of that money to protect us in foreign countries. If we would have bombed a lot earlier, perhaps we would not be in Iraq and Afganistan today! I agree, you do not know your politics and I believe Castro is still alive, hmmm.

Re: mag – Yeah I agree that sucks, America IS declining in education, I cant deny that! HOWEVER McCain wants to provide funding for low income families to be able to afford PRIVATE (and maybe also boarding schools) for students who are stuck in "struggling" schools and cannot afford private school. OBAMA DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS. Bush kinda did. BUT OBAMA does not. SO, at least theres a gleam of hope in America's failing public education (Thanks to Republicans!).

  96. Choke says – reply to this

    496

    Re: Karen
Instead of PRIVATE schools, why not properly fund all PUBLIC schools… you know that place where the majority of minorities are. Private schools are benefits and luxuries for the few. Obama made the point that education, proper education, should be available to the MANY. Now enough smoke and mirrors, this post is on the fuck up that is Bush!

Re: Choke – I'm a Republican and agree with you, sadly. You know, McCain is 71 and has ben quoted to not even know how to fully use the internet. He doesnt even have a Blackberry he has a basic "RAZR" phone, Blackberries are like standard for anyone seriosu about their carrer! And he's running for President! 71 years old? That is pushing it! I think he's too old to run the country :( I dont think he fully understands what state America is at since he's just too old to get it. However, I will cast my vote for him b/c I would hate to see someone as LIBERAL (yuck!) as Obama run the country.
