Angelina Jolie Announces That Her Next Movie Will Be...
Maleficent!
At least, we think it is! Almost positive, actually!
Angelina Jolie was at the Berlin International Film Festival today, where she is screening her directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood and Honey out of competition, when she announced that the long-rumored project was next up for her - even though she didn't specifically call it by name!
She explains:
"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this . The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie. The best thing to find that balance is to do something that is just for children. You know, you find different ways to make things matter. When, for example, you do fun action movies, they are empowering for my daughters."
And since we've gotten word that the Luc Besson movie she had been eyeing seems to have stalled, and Maleficent recently got Robert Stromberg as a director, we think it's safe to say that the Linda Woolverton-written adaptation of the classic fairy tale is definitely where we'll see her next!

Yes, she is in NY. Sorry, Canada, I guess? I saw her this morning on the way to work. She was in work out clothes and riding a bike stopped at a stop light at 6th Ave and 22nd Street in Manhattan. She was not wearing a helmet either, tsk. But it was definitely her. I was just a few feet away crossing the street.

I saw her at the MGMT and The Ting Tings show at McCarren in Brooklyn yesterday. Shes nothing special in person. Kiersten Dunst and Sean Lennon were also there. Agyness was with the dude from Franz Ferdinand. She wasnt even in the VIP area, jesus even I was in the VIP area.
