Luke Perry had the chance to perform on the remake of 90210 but he chose not to.
And why?
He rather do cameos on shittier shows!
Turns out the former Dylan McKay is currently in New York filming an episode of Law & Order: SVU.
He will make his appearance on the show's season premier on September 23rd.
According to insiders, Perry will play a parent accused of abusing his foster child.
What an idiot.

i think that is actually a MUCH BETTER career move than returning to 90210. I think its quite pathetic and really doesnt say much about their talent that they have to return to the same shitty show they started at. I would be embarrassed. because a long running, popular crime show that has emmy award winning actors in it (such as SVU) is a shittier choice than a new version of a show from the 90's that hasn't proved anything besides the fact that it has the same zip code and a few actors that haven't been popular since that show ended.

this new 90210 is going to be horrible. Im sorry but that show was a classic and you cant replace a classic especially not today. The entertainment industry is bombing in all genres, music, movies, tv shows. Its the same as watching the economy fall to pieces. This show will be horrible and won't even compare to the original show! I think the actors from the orignal show who didn't get involved were smart. The show had a 10 year run and it was great why ruin that?

Uhhhhhh Law and Order: SVU is an excellent, Emmy-winning show with extremely high ratings that actors KILL to be on. His decision is actually a smart career move as I predict this new 90210 will be canceled after a season or two anyway.
OK, Chunk-o-Lite take a step back from your Oreos and try and think outside of your refrigerator-sized box. Law & Order SVU is a well-respected show with multiple Emmys — not just for the regular cast, but for many many guest stars. It's far more prestigious than re-appearing on a remake of an old, tired show from the 90s. Quite honestly, The CW must have so little faith in this new version 90210, beause they are already resorting to desperate stunts — getting the original cast to appear in cameos in order to gather publicity. I think he's an artist and a real actor. He's done good roles since he was gone that are good characters. He already is living of the residual income from the re-runs of the old show and he has already done the fame game and you can't relive your past. Shannon Dorhety has done a terrible reality scare show since 90210 so she needs the work and the ego boost. Dilan is dead. Let's keep it that way.

He is a very smart actor to take on a challenging role on a top rated show, as opposed to an actor who's career is not going anywhere and has to sign on to a crappy remake of a show that was good in the 90's. Many Beverly Hils 90210 fans have grown up and moved on. And we respect that were actors on that show have move on too and don't want to be typecast. But you want everyone to go back to the show, just for your entertainment.

I think it's a smart move. 90210 has run its course and marrying yourself to your past success makes him seem like a desperate actor trying to get work. It's better that he move onto better roles like the one he landed on Law & Order: SVU.
