Sometimes the classics are better left untouched.

This is a classic, right????

With a lack of new ideas, Warner Bros. is creating a Marvin the Martian feature.

The project is said to combine both CGI and live action.

For those that don't know, the cartoon alien first appeared in a Looney Tunes cartoon back in 1948.

And, if you recall, his main mission was always to try and blow up Earth, until he was stopped by Bugs Bunny every time.

According to sources, the idea was pitched by Steve Crystal, a former WB exec, as "a Christmas story, with Marvin coming to Earth to destroy Christmas but being prevented from doing so when he’s trapped in a gift box."

Inneresting.

      This just brings back memories of the really boring and crappy 3D Marvin the Martian movie I saw at Movie World Gold Coast. Shit sucked. The 3D movie at Seaworld was better, and that's pretty sad, I mean it's MOVIE World, you think they could make a better movie.

      W O W - - - - the bad ideas continue to fly out of the Warner Bros. animation department. A couple of years ago they "revised" the classic Warner Bros. crew (Bugs, Daffy, Taz, etc) into a new modern version of themselves… all "edgy". It was an ABORTION. Now, this. CGI!?!? This is what modern "animation" has become. So sad. The real artists, the ones that hand-drew all of these classic characters WEEP for the golden age. And so do I.

      What a bastardization of something that is so close and dear to my heart. The execs should be fired… AND FLOGGED!
