The failed actress and singer opens up to the mag about her daddy, John Mayer, Asslee, Tony Romo and much too much.
Here's an exclusive excerpt from her interview!
On her life changing incident:
“I was singing ‘9 to 5’ and I choked and forgot the words in front of the president and in front of Dolly Parton, who’s like the president to me. And the last time I sang in front of the president , I had messed up the lyrics to ‘God Bless America’ so its kind of a thing I have with George W. Anyway, I broke down and said I’m sorry in front of the whole audience. My dad was there. I looked him in the face and said, ‘I will never sing again.’ “
On feeling like America’s most wanted:
“So many people want to bring me down, and I can’t wait to prove them wrong. If they believe what they read about me, they automatically persecute and torment me.”
On her father and manager, Joe Simpson, running his daughter’s love life and career:
“That’s Ludicrous. He just wants me to be happy. Our whole family gets beaten, but that just brings us closer. So people are really doing themselves a disservice.”
On her rocky love life:
“I was going through a lot of pain. I didn’t try anything to change my life other than dating different types of guys and conforming to their worlds. I thought I had to be artsier, more intellectual.”
On her relationship with John Mayer:
“John believed in the Jessica Simpson that’s within. He cherished our love. He helped make me t he woman I am today. John is going to be an amazing man for someone, but I know that I was supposed to be with someone else.”
On recording a song about abuse:
“I had to record that. There’s nothing on my album that you’re gonna hear that I don’t relate to or that I haven’t experienced. Because the only way I know how to sing is from life experience. I don’t want to talk about it, but I have definitely experienced abuse in away that I would tell people to take their heart and run.”
On Tony Romo:
“Most of the guys I dated were captivated by my heart but they had different ways of trying to get to me. Tony understands me. He appreciates my talent. He’s the first person I’ve spiritually connected with. I’m a girl that loves to be in love. I love love!”

Jessica hasn't done anything to hurt anyone. Whether you like it or not, the girl has an amazing voice; she can really sing.

I think she looks ridiculous! The belt buckle has me laughing. When I was a teenager, I dated a farmer who had a belt-buckle like that and laughed at him because it was hideous. It's still hideous, and the fact that she has decided to change her appearance to look "country" makes her seem even more fake, and not really into it.

The airbrushing looks botched up, too. Her right hip/upper thigh (left side of photo) looks slightly normal, but on the right side of the photo, she looks inverted. In the attempt to make her super-skinny they made her look deformed. Not attractive at all.

Yeah, the shirt is similar to the September 2004 Elle cover, but not exact. Plus in 2004, her hair was so blonde it was almost white. But I am surprised they decided to go with almost a copycat cover of the last one…damn, that girl is so over-exposed.

I don't know about you guys, but I want a pound of flesh from Jessica Simpson. I don't know why, but over the years I really don't like her. Maybe it's because she takes things too seriously and would sell out many things she loves to be on the cover of magazines. What she doesn't understand is that even though she was on a lot of tabloids a few years back, people did not love her. She was fluff, filler. People were never fasinated by her. She takes things to seriously and tries to hard. If she would just come to a point where she just didn't care about her public image or take it too seriously, like Britney Spears or Lindsey Lohan, then people might start liking her. Poor Jessica. Her 15 minutes of fame are up and now that she's almost 30, it's time to call it a day, invest what $$ she has left, move to TX and find someone else to marry her–and maybe between popping out kids, sell her wigs on HSN (and count herself lucky to be able to do so). The woman is neither bright nor talented–and anybody who messed up on stage like she did at the Kennedy Center Honors (and why was she there in the first place?) is SERIOUSLY out of their league. I looked up the 2004 Elle cover - it is not the same at all. Her shirt is totally different - look at the lines. Also, her hair is different and much more bleached blonde in 2004. It's not even close to the same picture.
